Wasn't Blake voted into a starting position in every all star game he's been in?
Very cheap way to take a shot at him knowing how he got there.

People like him were also complicit in making us terrible over the years.
Sad because I typically cheer for LA natives in the nBA

on our roster.

rot in hell you rat faced punk Andre MF Miller. die already you son of a bitch!

I knew he was a rat the moment I saw him in clipper uni more than a dozen years ago. and he intentionally sabotaged that team for his own stats and free agency money and made no attempt to hide it either. what a **** disgrace of a professional player, and he is from LA to boot. **** that little bastard.

I hate that **** right up there with the likes of David Duke, Donald Sterling, Hitler, Mao.......
ehhhhh f it.

BG was voted in by the coaches during his rookie season. He's been voted in by the fans every other year.

Kendall Marshall

Post#625 » by Ranma » Mon Jul 20, 2015 9:20 pm

If we're looking for a pure point guard, why isn't anyone considering KendalL Marshall? He's coming off ACL surgery, but is reportedly recuperating well. While I'm a little skeptical of him making a full recovery, he'd be a nice gamble as the 3rd-string PG with a legit shot at 2nd-string if healthy.

I've liked him since he took over for Larry Drew III at North Carolina. He was the key reason why Harrison Barnes turned around his play as a Tar Heel. His overall offense could use some work, particularly with his inconsistent free-throw shooting, but he's a creative passer with great floor vision and a good 3-point shot. This could be another feather in Doc's cap for this offseason.

Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo Sports (7/2/15)
Free-agent guard Kendall Marshall has made rapid improvement on the rehabilitation of his torn anterior cruciate ligament and expects to be ready for NBA training camps in October.

NBA executives tell Yahoo Sports that Marshall's most recent medical reports indicate that, barring any setbacks, he will be ready to return for the start of training camps in October.

...Teams say they've been impressed with the analytics of Marshall's impact on the Bucks lineup a year ago – the difference with him on the floor versus off.

In Marshall's one full season in the NBA with the Lakers, he averaged nearly 30 minutes a game and was second in the NBA to the Clippers' Chris Paul in assists per game (8.8) and fifth overall in assists-to-turnover ratio.

perkins signed with another team. thank god.

Roster Spot

Post#632 » by Ranma » Wed Jul 22, 2015 11:03 pm

I assume Doc is still in line to work a Crawford-Hamilton trade package or we can just waive Hamilton's non-guaranteed deal to pick up Big Baby, but I'd rather gamble and save the spot for the possibility of Emeka Okafor as an in-season addition.

Was about to say the same thing & I like having a spot open for possible buy out pick ups later in the season

Haywood Headed Elsewhere

Post#634 » by Ranma » Fri Jul 24, 2015 12:29 am

Apparently, the Cavaliers are not looking to take any salary back and will package a draft pick (likely 2nd-rounder) to dump Brendan Haywood's non-guaranteed contract onto either Portland or Philadelphia; Utah has an outside shot of getting involved but they'd have to waive players to do so.

Trade bait. Using his early bird status, he can be signed to around ~$5.74M for this season. It must be for a minimum of 2 seasons. However, he wouldn't be eligible to be traded until January 15th. Non-Guaranteed contracts become guaranteed if not waived by the 10th of January. If you make the 2nd year of his contract non-guaranteed, he can be a nice asset around the trade deadline. If Crawford hasn't been moved by then, he could be added into a trade with Davis and Wilcox where we could bring in up to $15.8M back.

Blake Give Another Go for Team USA

Post#636 » by Ranma » Sun Jul 26, 2015 5:27 pm

Ramona Shelburne, ESPN (7/26/15)
Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin will participate in next month's USA Basketball minicamp in Las Vegas and hopes to play in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, a league source told ESPN.

Griffin was forced to withdraw from last year's Team USA training camp for the FIBA World Cup because he was advised by doctors to give a back injury more time to heal.

Griffin was also forced to withdraw from the 2012 team that competed in the Summer Olympics in London after he stepped on the foot of Washington Wizards guard John Wall during a workout and tore the meniscus in his left knee.

Big Baby Talks and Tokoto Availability

Post#637 » by Ranma » Fri Jul 31, 2015 7:49 pm

Not that I'm opposed to having Glen Davis back on the roster and low on the depth chart, but I'd be more interested in pursuing J.P. Tokoto if he's available on the cheap.

Jordan Hamilton Waived

Post#638 » by Ranma » Sat Aug 1, 2015 10:24 pm

Guess this clears a roster spot for Glen "Big Baby" Davis. Also, it's encouraging to see Branden Dawson spending time with Blake and hopefully gaining some tips on what it takes to be an NBA professional. I'd like to see Wesley Johnson also spend time with and take after BG more.

If Doc can dump Jamal on someone, you think Doc will try and bring in Ray Allen?
