Do these Boston commentators even watch basketball?

They keep repeating an outdated profile of Blake- that all he can do is dunk. They leave out his post game and ability to knock down mid-range jumpers. Very irritating to watch

probably 75% or so of basketball people and fans think blake is still just some dunker who sucks on defense and can't do anything else.

i'd say maybe less than 5% understand the player he really is and what he does when fully healthy.

Yes, these trade threads from Bostonians whose bedtime precedes west-coast tipoff time are getting palpably absurd. Jaylen Brown and a handful of 2nd rounders for Blake? FOH.

I saw that the clips just signed Felton. Didn't know they had any roster space

Nothing makes sense! Nothing makes sense!

I'll just fall over :falloff: if the Clippers signed Kevin Martin. What would his role be, 3rd SF? It would be ridiculous. Kevin Martin is the kind of player you would sign if you didn't re-sign Jamal Crawford.

Whatever. Just go ahead and sign him Doc. Cut Brice Johnson to make room.

Jamal can only play for so long, Doc is probably trying to have his replacement ready in advance.

However, another source said Paul Pierce is still weighing everything and will make a final decision in a few weeks.

there's still hope

Westbrook in serious talks to sign an extension is bad news fornus as that could lead to luring Blake to go play in his hometown.

I'm not at all worried about Blake leaving for Oklahoma. They'd have to really stretch the numbers not to renounce Adams, Oladipo, and probably even Robertson to make room for Blake, so I don't think he's leaving to play with Kanter and Singler. But I don't think he's going anywhere period really.

But Westbrook taking the extension sure highlights how much of a weakling Durant is.

I can't say I'm not at least a little worried, for the obvious reasons. OKC is the only place Blake would leave for. He'd become more loved if he 'went home' like Lebron did, which would benefit his brand. And if this core falls short again Blake might just feel its time to move on. I mean Westbrook is right in the middle of his prime whereas Chris is past his physical prime.

Agree totally. I'd love Blake in OKC but don't see it. KD is just weak.

Blake's brother, parents and son all live out here in SoCal. Many players go back home during the offseason. Blake may go on vacation or business trips, but has typically stayed in LA during the summer. I'm not saying it is impossible, but I don't see him considering going back to Oklahoma at this stage of his career/life.
