I guess it’s a good sign he’s traveling with the team. Seems like an unnecessary trip if he’s not playing at all. My guess he sits against Chicago and be ready for the Pelicans.

Another good sign for Leonard.

Bulls just beat the Pacers in OT with DeMar DeRozan going for 46 points in 44 minutes.

Clippers need to win this one to avoid a three game losing streak and also because they have their own b2b the next day at the Pelicans.

Surprised he made the trip. Back Spasms can be very painful. I know from personal experience. I would have expected him to stay back for treatment. Hopefully, he has space and can keep stretching the entire flight.

There are superstars all over the NBA putting their teams on their back like this. Very little hero ball [in its best sense] from our Big Three, let alone the occasional role player breaking out once in awhile. [Mann has broken 20 only once, Zu twice, Powell over 25 just once.]

Harden hit 35 once in December and 30 only once since. PG has scored 30 only once since January, and only 6 times all year. There are 3 guys AVERAGING over 30 [Luka, Shai, Giannis] and PG is only 29th at 21.3.

Superstars are supposed to be super. Ours are...meh. Games are WON in this league, not lost. That's why I've never been into the blame game. Stand up or fall out.

Leonard will play while Harden will sit. Bones will start in his place.

Of course the more scorers you have, the less any individual guy is going to score a lot, so that's understandable, they aren't supposed to be doing what Luka, SGA, etc are doing, problem is that they haven't had nights recently (and not much at all for Harden) where they have taken over with a lot of scoring.

I'm not sure Harden should be looked at as any sort of scoring superstar anymore, it's just not there the same way. Harden had five 30+ point game last season in 58 games, so double this seasons pace, but still not much.

PG has 8 30+ point games, he had 7 in the teams first 40 games (played 38 of those) and was averaging 24 ppg up to that point (around mid January). It's really more so the more recent stretch, a lot of it including him playing through injury where the scoring outbursts have subsided.

The following 20 games he's played he's averaged 18.6 ppg, so no surprise that he's only had one 30+ point game in that span.

Props to KL for suiting up. He was not dogging it. Back spasms especially on these ultratall guys are no joke.

Mostly the point is that it's gonna take extraordinary performances to win the NBA title. Every night, someone's got to break out. Good enough is not good enough.

Back spasms are pretty bad on anyone tbh. My job can be more predisposed to them due to the ergonomics. Had them a couple of times and that stuff is debilitating.

Champs always have someone, anyone stepping up, that's why it's teams that win championships, not just individual players, delightfully true.

PG & Kawhi on fire! No Harden slowing the game down and dribbling the air out of the ball.

Leonard moving around like normal. Good sign.

Boston giving some good minutes again. Such good size and the bulking up has paid off too.

Dumb foul by Powell.

I wish PG would never be the ball handler taking the ball up the court. Mann, Powell, or Bones. PG fumbles almost everytime and takes too long. Same with Kawhi. They arent quick enough, nor with elite handles to be the primary ball handler. They are both long with huge wing spans and the ball is easy to swipe at.

Hopefully we can play a 48 minute game. Looking good so far. Not sure about Norm & those fouls? Bulls are built without a dynamic young star or 2 so kind of a perfect opponent. Gotta take advantage and win this.

Are you dogging Kawhi again in your thinly veiled attempt? When we were on that tear, Kawhi was averaging how many points per game? You bring up superstars from other teams showing what they average when compared to our own?
How many times has Kawhi put this team on his back this season? Averaging 30 ppg is a mark of an offensive player who's team needs that scoring EVERY GAME. The clippers have multiple scoring options so any one superstar cannot average a high number.
The only issue I have is with PG. In Kawhis absence the guy has been total ass not deserving an AS spot. I didn't know what to expect from Harden but as far as a point guard goes, he's done a decent job.
As far as the overall team achievement goes, THAT FALLS SOLELY ON TY LUE.
Yeah he doesn't score or miss free throws but he's responsible to get the team prepared and play for 48 minutes.
Throwing idiotic lineups to see what sticks comes from a guy coaching youth league. Not in the NBA.
