Barring a trade, the Bucs next pick is #128(4th round).

Licht said Smith will play LT. How do you Luke Marpet? I don't understand trading up for div III player but if he's your guy, he's your guy.

Licht said his favorite player of draft. I think he let a little emotion affect his decision making on this one.

Agree, most I saw draft wise on Marpet, is bottom round 3/round 4 talent. Bucs trade up into bottom of round 2 to take him. We'll see, I personally would have went DE in round 3, take an OG in round 4.

Agreed. With DE being weak later on, should've gone DE now then guars or Collins in 4th.

Yeah I would have went DE Trey Flowers or the DE from UCLA I have been mentioning, in round 4(if they didnt' take Marpet) I would have went with OG Jamil Douglas, who I really like.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Ali Marpet, C/G/OT, Hobart: B+ Grade

The Buccaneers moved up for Ali Marpet? Why, you ask? Because the Seahawks were set to select him. Ali Marpet is definitely worth a late second-round pick; he can play every position up front, which is important for a team with multiple holes on its offensive line. Marpet is highly athletic and was coveted by one of the top-drafting teams in the NFL, so this is very promising for the Buccaneers.

Hmm we'll see, every mock I saw had him late round 3/round 4. I guess Seattle and Tampa graded him higher.

Barring the Bucs signing an OG in FA, looks like they'll be starting 2 rookies on the OL. Smith, Mankins, EDS, Marpet, Dotson

Bleacher report with a prediction of who the Bucs take on day 3, they have 5 picks remaining.

I wouldn't be upset at these picks.

Man, if we could get Greene in the 4th, I'd be super happy, but no way he's there when we pick. Chickillo wouldn't be bad either.

I'm on-call today so hopefully I get to watch all day uninterrupted.

Id be surprised if Marpet can start right away. But considering our lack of quality at RG, why not just throw him into the fire if he shows he can handle it.

Jameis is used to playing behind spotty OLine after last year.

Greene still available, Bucs take LSU LB Kwon Alexander in round 4.

I like Bell a lot. Crushed we didn't get Greene but Bell is just dependable.
Would you guys take a chance on Collins from LSU? Or too much bad pub with Jameis already on board?
Collins went underrated and I would take a chance on him if he is cleared of any involvement with the murder of his ex. Adding an offensive linemen that could have gone in the first round would be huge for the Bucs.

With the 2015 NFL draft in the books, I think the Bucs did well for themselves. They were able to address their biggest needs on offense from last season. Hopefully the Bucs scouts saw something special in Marpet and he turns out to be a very solid pick. The receivers they drafted are going to be an asset to the special teams.

Agreed. They filled most holes. Hopefully they find a decent DE from their signed UDFAs. If we can find a way to trade Martin for a DE, we're good.
