Great staff

Post#1 » by magic1636 » Sat Jan 4, 2014 5:14 am

The Bucs are putting together a hell of a staff in Tampa. Lovie as the HC, Jeff Tedford as the OC, and supposedly they've came to an agreement with Leslie Frazier to be the DC. Now they just need to hire a GM and the favorite so far is Chris Ballard from KC.

Agreed, I'm excited about this staff.

Telford is especially gifted in the development of QB's.

Do you think Lovie and Jeff give Glennon this season to see what he is about, or draft a QB like Boyd in rd 2 of this draft?

I hope they bring in competition with a veteran.

I just don't think Glennon will ever be very good.

I'm not a big fan of Boyd either. He's too short and is not that accurate, besides not really having pocket ability.

Agreed.

Do you think they draft a QB this draft?

Possibly?

There are needs just about everywhere, so unless they feel strongly about a QB I wouldn't expect it.

The problem with QB's coming out of college is that they are often time rated much higher than what they can actually deliver (Tebow, Vince Young, Akili Smith)

It's the same way that the nba drafts 7' players so high just because they are 7'...... and one day might develop into something (Diop, Byimbo, Spencer), but you know damn well they won't be anything more than a scrub.

It's laughable really.

At least in his press conference to me it sounded like they'll give Glennon a chance. I'm sure they'll sign someone for competition though. I personally like Glennon and hope he gets a fair shot to work with Tedford since his offense fits Glennon and the way he plays.

Also according to PewterReport.com Tony Sparano will join staff to be the O-Line coach and hired Joe Cullen to be the D-Line coach.

Lovie has hired Southern Miss OC Marcus Arroyo as QB's coach, Arroyo coached under Tedford at Cal also.

Now they just need some pieces on the o'line, dline, lb,wr, QB, secondary, and they'll be set.

Former Colorado HC Jon Embree has been hired as TE's coach, he was the Browns TE coach in 2013. Browns TE Jordan Cameron had a Pro Bowl season in 2013.

I believe the staff is set, except for O-Line coach.

I really don't know anything that about him other than what I just read, but again, it looks like a really good hire.

Man, this staff is rock solid in so many ways.

Congrats to Mr Smith.
