Pewter Report 7 Round Bucs Mock....

Rd 1) QB Derek Carr
Rd 2) DT Aaron Donald
Rd 4) DE Kareem Martin
Rd 5) TE Marcel Jensen
Rd 7) WR Tevin Reese

I'm not sure on Derek Carr, the last name alone scares me. Not all David's fault,he never had a solid O-Line in the NFL. Lovie and Jeff will be looking hard at Derek, Jeff coached Derek's older brother David. Derek is a more mobile version of his brother.

My mock would be a little different,

Rd 1) DT Timmy Jernigan (a better fit next to McCoy than Donald IMO)
Rd 2) QB Tajh Boyd
Rd 4) OLB Dee Ford
Rd 5) TE Marcel Jensen
Rd 7) WR Tevin Reese

My mock is based on what I believe the Bucs do in FA, sign DE Jared Allen, C Brian de la Puente, CB Charles Tillman and KR Devin Hester.

QBs Glennon, Boyd, FA vet
RBs Martin, James, Rainey
O-Line Penn, Zuttah(until Nicks is healthy),de la Puente, Joseph, Dotson
TE Wright, Crabtree, Jensen
WRs V Jax, Williams, Underwood, Reese, Page, Hester
D-Line Allen, Jernigan, McCoy, Clayborn, Bowers, Gholston, Spence
LBs David, Foster, Ford, Watson, Casillas, Heyward
DBs Revis, Goldson, Barron, Banks, Tillman, Tandy

K Barth, P Koenan, KR/PR Hester, PR/KR Page

I've seen Carr play on tv, and I think he's overrated.

Although he may get drafted that high, it's just my opinion that his value isn't worth the pick at 7.

However, he definitely has a better upside than Glennon, who has no upside.

I'd stay away from Taj Boyd period. He's in no-mans-land in the NFL. He has absolutely zero chance of becoming a QB in the NFL. Some knucklehead gm will draft him though.

I'd look very strong at the kid from Eastern Illinois (Garrappolo) who will shoot up the draft charts and could be available in the second round.

Really? Please give some insight. You would take this Garrappolo in later rds right? Talk of Carr at 7 is because some say he is a 1st or 2nd rd pick, and his familiarity with Jeff Tedford. I'd take Boyd over Carr any day.

I'm going to change some of my picks, Boyd looks like a 3rd-5th rd pick now, his stock has dropped.

Rd 1) WR Sammy Watkins
Rd 2) DT Aaron Donald
Rd 4) QB David Fales
Rd 5) TE Marcel Jensen
Rd 7) WR Tevin Reese

So since it looks like the Bucs will stick with Glennon in 2014, with that in mind here is my updated Bucs full mock.

My mock is based on what I believe the Bucs do in FA, sign DE Jared Allen, C Brian de la Puente, CB Charles Tillman and KR Devin Hester.

Rd 1) WR Sammy Watkins
Rd 2) OT Morgan Moses
Rd 4) DT DaQuan Jones
Rd 5) TE Marcel Jensen
Rd 7) ILB Andrew Jackson

At this point I would love to see Watkins still be available.

Jmo but I think he'll have a game breaker effect in the NFL.

He should be available if the Rams or Raiders don't take him.

My updated mock,

Rd 1) OT Greg Robinson
Rd 2) WR Brandin Cooks
Rd 4) QB Jimmy Garoppolo
Rd 5) TE CJ Fiedorowicz
Rd 7) DT Ricky Havili-Heimuli

I have the Bucs taking 4 offensive players, and yes that's with Lovie being a defensive guy. There are much more holes on offense than defense. If the Bucs could add Jared Allen or even bring Michael Bennett back, the Bucs would nearly have an elite defense.

I like these picks a lot. Bucs will likely cut Donald Penn, some scouts have compared Robinson physically, athletically and similar in strength to Hall of Famer Larry Allen and compare him as a tackle to Hall of Famer Walter Jones. Having an elite tackle blocking their blindside would benefit Glennon or Garoppolo(who I have in this mock).
This draft is stacked with WR's in the first 3 rounds. The Bucs are looking to have a 3rd WR to go with Jackson and Williams, I have them taking Oregon State speedster and 2013 Biletnikoff Award winner Brandin Cooks in rd 2. At QB the new regime doesn't necessarily have to stick with Glennon, I think they'll grab their QB in the middle rounds.
Fiedorowicz provides good value at TE in rd 5 and could be an upgrade to Tom Crabtree and Luke Stocker. He'll compete with Tim Wright for the starting job. And finally Havili-Heimuli is a good value DT in rd 7, he'll be competing and push Spence for the starting job next to McCoy.
