Bucs at Texans 9/27.....

Post#1 » by Nemesis21 » Sat Sep 26, 2015 1:08 am

The Bucs are looking to improve to 2-1 on the season. I'm afraid of the Watt/Wilfork match up with our O Line.

Bucs with a 9-7 lead at the half, Texans scored first with a TD, Bucs kicker Brindza with a 58 yd FG, Charles Sims with a rushing TD, Brindza missed the extra point hitting the right upright.

Bucs defense must get more pressure in Mallet's face, Both Texans starting tackles ruled out before the game, and now their starting RG may not return in 2nd half due to injury. The Bucs front 7 must capitalize on this in the 2nd half.

Brindza can make a 58 yd FG, but not a 33 yd one, a 41 yd one or an extra point. He's cost us 7 points today. Texans with a 10-9 lead in the 4th. Mike Evans with 4 drops today. :banghead:

Lovie Smith needs to get his defense in check, 5 defensive holding calls, and 2 15 yd personal foul face mask calls today. A defensive holding and 15 yd face mask calls lead to a Texans TD on their most recent drive. 16-9 in the 4th, their kicker missed the extra point.

Alfred Blue coming into this game with a career average of 3 yds per carry, in this game has averaged nearly 5.5 yds per carry. This defense is garbage. :nonono:

Texans win 19-9. Bucs waste a very winnable game, they could have won by 2 scores. Too many self inflicted mistakes, 5 defensive holding calls and 2 15 yd face mask calls on the defense. The defense made Alfred Blue look like Adrian Peterson today. 7 dropped passes on offense, 4 by Evans, 2 by Murphy and 1 by VJax. 3 missed FGs and 1 missed extra point by Brindza.

Very sloppy game by the Bucs. :nonono:

Yep, we beat ourselves tonight. I feel like this will be the storyline this year. Jameis looked decent tonight again though. Just need to convert on 3rd downs.

Damn! Why didn't we trade for him?! Anything to help the pass rush. George Johnson isn't doing much.

Brindza come on now the 1st fg looked so good then poof confidence in him went down, I was happy with our kicker last year didn't know why we replaced him.

My biggest concern from yesterday is Jennings for one I know Lovie coached him with the Bears so its nice to have familiarity with someone but to sign him without preseason then start him now hes getting burnt on everything to much separating and to slow.

The lone bright spots for me is Kwon, hes a beast him and Lavonte are gonna be a deadly duo. Conte was a great signing I'd say with little glimpses from Melton the only good ex Bear player signing.

They had no business getting rid of Connor Barth before last season, and he was brought back after the 3rd preseason game this season and again they got rid of him. He would have made those kicks vs the Texans, for sure. Don't know what the f**k Licht and Lovie are thinking.

Also I don't know why Lovie is now starting Tim Jennings at CB, he should play nickel and nothing more. He got beat by Hopkins the entire game last Sunday and is likely to start ahead of Verner again this week. Jennings is like 5'9", Lovie and Leslie should have noticed and adjusted to Jennings getting burned multiple times in the 1st qtr by the taller Hopkins, but they failed to do so and left him in all game. :nonono:
