ESPN Dallas' Todd Archer projects Ryan Williams to be left off the Cowboys' 53-man roster.
Williams experienced recurring knee swelling at OTAs and minicamp, and will enter training camp squarely on the bubble. Owner Jerry Jones has hinted the Cowboys will only keep three tailbacks on their final roster. Archer projects those three backs to be Joseph Randle, Darren McFadden, and Lance Dunbar.

I'd like to add Jeff Heath.

Because... he just belongs.

Been saying it for years now. Nothing will change till Jerry sells the team. We need a real GM. Coach and Owner that knows football.

I would like to once again submit Gavin Escobar and his bag of nothing for consideration for this thread. Can this dude be any more spare than he has been this season?

With dez out you would think the coaching staff would have done better scheming in a better situation to succeed.

Joseph Randall, who is already gone. Hardy, McClain, Sean Lee, Jason Garrett, GM Steven and Jerry Jones all need to go.

Well - Jerry ain't leaving. And I just don't see him running Garrett off if only because Jerry is delusional enough to place the blame for this debacle on Romo's injury.

But there is a cancer in that locker room. Maybe multiple cancers. And it's time to start purging them. Starting with that massive tumor Greg Hardy.

Oh yea, multiple cancers for sure. Look who the next 2 players in line are up for Romo and Witten's team leadership roles after they retire and leave. Hardy and Dez. Not the future picture I was hoping for.

So do I. And I'm not fooled by the report this morning that Weeden was "greatly improved" after this recent OTA. I know what I saw last season. It was not acceptable.

But you think Vaughan will be good enough this year to let Weeden go?

And - the answer is a resounding no. Vaughan wasn't good enough. Neither was Weeden.

Nor was Michael.

Even Escobar had more. Pretty pathetic and we give up a 7th.

Looks like this whole running back experiment was a total disaster. This whole area needs an enema. But Jerry picks up the 1st RB left on the board from Arkansas.

Looks like experiment #2 taking the high risk pick for Gregory and brining in Hardy has also been a total :banghead: disaster.

I'm not quite ready to give up on Gregory. I'd like to see how he progresses. He basically lost this season because of the injury. And he's a rookie. Rarely do they kick it into gear until Season 2.

Hardy - different story. The guy is a cancer in the room and needs to be cut out. The damn shame is I honestly believe Garrett would have already cut him if he could.

He can't.

I think we could also spend our money more wisely. Along with Hardy and McClain, I feel we can get a better bang for our buck in letting Mincy go as well. Not impressed at all.

Now that the season is finally over and had some time to review our current situation, this is MY, and I repeat, MY list of expendables going into free agency and the draft. Joseph Randall, Ryan Williams and Christian Michael, already gone. Cost us a draft pick though, thanks again Jerry. Matt Cassell, Greg Hardy, R. McClain, Jeremy Mincy, Terrance Williams, Escobar and Jeff Heath. Have to go along with Road hog here. Honorable mention, Jerry Jones and Jason Garrett. But there is nothing we can do about it.

I agree with everyone on your list except Terrance Williams and Escobar. Both are still on their rookie contracts. They provide cheap depth is nothing else. They do need to upgrade the WR depth chart though. James Hanna is a free agent and will be gone. I have my own opinion on the backup TE's that come through Dallas but I will discuss that later. Everyone else on your list can kick rocks.

I also think they should put a 3rd round tender on Ron Leary. No one expects him to return and if the Cowboys can get a 3rd round pick back for him all the better.

I heard about the Cowboys trying to get a 3ird round pick for Leary the other day. Someone is trying to make up for the picks we lost with Matt Cassell and Christain Michael.

Return to Dallas Cowboys
