Jerry creates the culture and as long as he is alive that is never going to change. Once that happens though it doesn’t mean things will get any better. Stephen is the anti-Jerry in the sense that he’s cheap and he’s not a good negotiator.

If we are talking about just this year's free agency, I guarantee it is 100% Stephen's doing. Which as far as BJJ is concerned, should make him happy.

So Jerry is the owner and GM of the Cowboys unless Stephen steps in or has something to say? :ouch:

I would say it’s 60/40 in favor of Jerry. Don’t underestimate Stephen’s ineptitude or how much impact he has on all things football. Jerry is obviously the biggest voice in the room but Stephen is right there behind him.

Hankins is pretty much gone from Dallas. Next years Cowboys are going to look extremely different.

PFF doesn't seem to like him very much. Looks like he's a 1 tech.

That only saves us about 3 mill in cap space.

He is, he’s a run stuffing 1-tech. Dallas needs him back but I expect another team will sign him.

I really wanted him to retire a Cowboy. He really should have spoken to Emmitt Smith before agreeing to a deal with the Jets.

Yea saw that signing coming. The Jones a really setting their lame duck QB and Coach up for failure aren’t they. It’s pretty clear they want to tank this year.

Ok BJJ I have a question for you. Would you rather have the Coach/QB combo of MM/Dak or Deion Sanders/Shedeur Sanders?

Do you guys want Deion? I think he would potentially be a disaster at the pro level, honestly. He can recruit. But I don't think he would want to make the jump. He said so himself.

Hell no! I can’t stand Deion Sanders. Jerry in the other hand might be different. Jerry has an affinity young coaches. Ever since he lost Sean Payton he’s been chasing that young coach. Jerry would love nothing more than to be the one to put Deion on the coaching map (in the NFL). He’d at least love the spectacle of it.

I’m not saying it will happen but there’s a chance that the Cowboys will need a new HC and new QB in 2025, and Deion has ties to the team.

Deion is one of my all time favorite players but I dont think I want him here coaching. I don't have faith in him as a coach quite yet.

If that is my option, I think I would rather have rectal cancer. :droop: At this point the best thing to do is blow the whole thing up and start over. But we all know in here Jerry won't and that's problem #1. Until the Cowboys get the right GM (one with an actually football mind), one of the top football coaches in the game today ( you know, one that knows football) and one of the top QB's in the game, its really all for nothing. Under Jerry's leadership and culture has completely stained this franchise. Both Jerry and Dak and his contract have handcuffed us going into next season and put us in a no win situation. I can't believe after being a fan for 54 years now it has all come down to this. I have very low expectations moving forward and totally disagree with the current direction the Cowboys are going. I wish I could find something nice today but can't.
