Looks like we're talking to Quentin Jammer and Corey lynch for the safety spot. I think they're gonna bring Jammer in for the free safety spot with the hope that Merriweather can come back to form. They also have Tanard Jackson under contract but he's suspended until late August.

Anyway, the schedule came out last Thursday. Skins have at least 5 primetime games with the possibility of more later on in the season:

DATE OPPONENT TIME TV
Mon, Sep. 9 vs. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES 7:10 PM ESPN
Sun, Sep. 15 at Green Bay Packers 1:00 PM FOX
Sun, Sept. 22 vs. DETROIT LIONS 1:00 PM FOX

^ I actually like the thought of adding Jammer on the cheap for the FS rotation. Not as familiar with Lynch.

As for the schedule, I guess the NFL is buying the "superhuman" talk and is assuming that RG3 will be ready to go in Week 1. Hopefully he doesn't put any extra pressure on himself to come back on MNF, but we'll see. And, as always, I absolutely hate early bye weeks. Especially since they were supposedly going to use the bye week to re-sod the field (although I guess they could do it in November when they have back-to-back road games).

The way an early bye could be a blessing in disguise is that if RG3 isn't quite ready to go week 1, they could hold him out until week 6 but have him only miss 4 games. Unfortunately, 3 of them would be against NFC opponents.

Bringing this idea back from the first page. Seems NYG are interested now, but I still think Woodson would be a good fit with us as a FS at this point in his career. Especially to tutor the guys we just drafted.

Looks like Woodson will go back to the Raiders.

RG 3 is ranked 15 in the NFL's top 100. I believe players are the ones that vote.

This has to have been the least eventful offseason in the internet era for the Skins. The most ineteresting story is RG3's rehab. Mara's successful sabotage of the Skins cap prevented them from making any big free agent signings. Otoh, things are going to pick up soon, and I'm looking forward to seeing the rookies - particularly the DB's they drafted.

RG 3 got cleared to practice but other than that, a pretty quiet offseason. The number being thrown around for next offseason is $36 million in cap room. So I wouldn't be surprised if the Skins go for it all next season.

Just picked up Nick Barnett on a cheap deal, ostensibly to replace Keenan Robinson in the LB rotation.
