Week 12: Washington vs San Francisco (Mon @ 8:30 pm)

WHO: Skins vs 49ers
WHEN: November 25th, 8:30 pm
WHERE: FedEx Field

Big Questions:

How will San Fran respond coming off a tough loss?
Can the DC offense finally get off to a quick start?
How much will Jordan Reed's absence affect RG3?

The Washington Redskins will not have Jordan Reed in the lineup on Monday against the San Francisco 49ers due to a concussion.

With Dallas winning, there's not much hope left to get back into the division race. But the team still needs a win to help show that the team is on the right track under Shanahan. A loss tonight, especially a bad one at home, and things really get ugly on DC sports radio.

What a piss poor pass by RGIII for an INT. His passing is so bad it's not worth going into details.

^ Yeah, he's regressing as a passer IMO. At this point he needs to stop talking and just focus on getting better.

RG3 is no longer a "special" player with his knee injuries. He looked like he was playing in slow motion on some of those downs. Now that your season is officially over do you stick with RG3 or switch to Cousins? No way Snyder is going to keep your coaching staff & roster in tack after this year.

I'm done with Shanahan. The horrendous special teams, the penalties, and the fact that the defense has made zero progress in 4 years shows that he's just not getting the job done (pretty much like his last couple years in Denver).

As for Griffin, I'd like to see what Cousins has rather than running RG3 into the ground again. If Cousins shows he really is a starting NFL QB, maybe you deal Grffiin and try to get some of those picks back. Or, if Cousins is just ordinary, you at least keep Griffin safe on the bench and let him get healthy. Then use the cap space we get back next summer to get a bigger O-line to protect him.

Either of those alternatives is better than letting RG3 crumple in a heap like last year, which is bound to happen the way this team is playing. Like him or not, he's the team's biggest asset and they need to maintain the value he still has left.

After tearing his ACL in last season’s playoffs, Griffin has been a hot-button topic since missing all of preseason then stepping in under center in Week 1. And while his struggles to return to form have been apparent, he and head coach Mike Shanahan have been steadfast in insisting he remain playing as he gets his legs back.

Well, after Monday night’s loss — where RG3 failed to lead his team to a touchdown for the first time in college or the NFL — 49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks had quite the eye-opening counterpoint:

"[Griffin is] obviously a man and he makes his own decisions, but I personally don’t feel he should be playing right now," Brooks said via CSN Washington. "I don’t think he should be playing. You can see it. Everybody can see it, everybody can see it."

Griffin, sacked four times and hit repeatedly while throwing for only 127 yards and running for only 22 more, is gaining respect as he continues to play, but whether he should play seems to be a growing issue as Washington now sits at 3-8.

"He’s a man, he has the heart of a warrior and is going to go out there and play regardless of the circumstance," Brooks said of the Redskins quarterback. "Everybody can see it. Everybody can see it. He shouldn’t be playing."

This is only the beginning. It's going to get really ugly as the team keeps losing games.

It's kind of sad watching RG3 try to play & last night against a solid defense it's obvious he needs to sit the rest of the season. Your defense last night looked like the worse in the NFL. I don't know where you guys go from here. New coach, new QB, & a whole new defense? A lot of tough decisions ahead.
