twcsportsnet:
Despite our best efforts and their customers’ demands, @DISH has elected not to carry #TWCSportsNet and @TWCDeportes. http://ow.ly/fsobI

i'd recommend switching as this channel is pretty cool. those streams don't do it justice

Stupid move by Dish. Very interested in how much real business they lose over the next 2-3 weeks.

The reason Dish is playing hardball right now is the fact that they have to keep their prices lower to compete with DirecTV and right now they're probably not losing enough customers to fall into the demands of TWC, the thing is for Dish, if they knew the Dodgers would be on this channel too guaranteed they would jump all over it.

Dish serves almost 1 million in the broadcast coverage area, they'll get the channel but they've shown that as a company they have the backbone to battle it out with these channels, just look at the Dish/AMC dispute. These things happen.

Eventually, and there won't be any other way is that these companies will have to offer a-la-carte programming before a big corporation like Google or Apple does before them, watch the people in droves flock to that kind of service. Netflix/Redbox came out of no where and completely crushed Blockbuster into oblivion.

Yea **** Dish.

Does Directv have the best deals or what? Checked their site and it seems ok, what ruins it is I need NBAtv so I have to go 2 packages up from the lowest one. Asshats

New customers also get free Sunday Ticket. Signed up with Direct back in July, no complaints. Although things were getting choppy for awhile when I had to stream the first two weeks of Laker games...

TWC isn't going to be getting the dodgers

http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/blog/eye-o ... ar-tv-deal

....Nikki Finke of Deadline reports the Dodgers are close to forging a new local-television deal with Fox. Finke tabs the total value of the deal at between $6 billion and $7 billion (yes, that's a "b") over a span of 25 years, which would be the largest local-broadcast contract in American sports history...
