I think they just sign Gil and call it a day. This team has a shot.

Arenas must be toast seeing as we didn't sign him.

If you sign Arenas and then make a trade where you bring someone in with the TPE you have to cut someone and pay them a guaranteed deal. Arenas is the worst-case scenario.

I honestly think we're just waiting to see if we can get Dwight before we consider signing him. I don't see us using the TPE for anything but Dwight (or some other crazy deal that blows up our current core). Perhaps we'd use the TPE for an expiring... the longer we wait the less we have to pay in salary and taxes on whomever we acquire, correct?

just lesssalary, taxes are paid on end of the season salary, so makes no difference if they're acquired now or in a week or two.

No but you are guaranteeing an extra deal along with what you have. You will be paying for 16 players.

I rather keep the two #1 picks and keep Blake. Blake can hit a 3 and runs the show pretty good. Unless a star PG is coming. I do not see much upside in these trades.

If you're talking about the Beasley deal, I see a guy that will absolutely destroy OKC's and Miami's backup front lines while holding his own on defense against these non-factor chumps.

Not crazy about Felton at all from what I've seen this year. Perhaps a nice gamble, though? If he has a season like he had in New York, it would be a steal.

If we can get Felton without having to give up a 1st then I'm all for it. He's going to need to drop some lbs before an extension is handed to him though.

I doubt they can do it without the pick involved. Do we lose much from Fisher to Blake as the backup 2?

A deal with Felton for Blake is more or less even if a first is involved from L.A.'s end. I like Felton's fit if he does the Metta "treatment" (get in shape etc...) because he fits the Laker offense. As far as Felton and an extension we'll see.

The Lakers goal was always Felton and Beasley according to Lazenby. This would make sense, with Fisher still playing as the backup 2 instead of Blake.

Comparing NBA.com and DraftExpress, Felton has only gained 6 lbs since he's come in the league...

Would much rather have Sessions to be honest. Blake is better than Felton for this team IMO

Forget these chumps! We don't need any of them.

Get Ersan Ilyasova

Do it Mitch!

Ersan will be a good addition, pure PF, hustle, can shooting, had soft hands around the rim, can rebounding, but for lesser degree we got Troy & Josh for that, & we can't afford Ersan with our asset.

we need a PG.
