Why do people still want Nash we have Sessions the bench should be the target off all the Lakers moves this summer. I think Hill if this legal stuff isn't to serious should be resigned and Ebanks also. Barnes is an interesting case if the Lakers decide to amnesty Artest I can see them me resigning Barnes and having him be the starter and getting a guy like Beasley to come off the bench behind him but i can also see the Lakers keeping both Artest and Barnes and even Ebanks and having Ebanks play SG and I can see the Lakers keeping Artest and letting Barnes walk and getting someone like Beasley to come off the bench so its really wide open to what will happen at SF for the Lakers this summer.

Why on earth would they resign Ebanks and Barnes only to sign Beasley to bring him off the bench? Makes no sense. Plus Beasley is a capable starter and is far better than both of those guys. He could be the 2nd star that they need to pair with Bynum if/when Kobe starts to really decline.

If they can get Beasley then they should rid themselves of Ebanks or Barnes. One of them has to go. Id prefer to keep Ebanks b/c he is younger and could turn into a quality role player. Barnes is getting older and at some point you have to groom the new guys to keep going. Its funny how alot of my fellow Laker fans want mgmt to make good quality moves but want to hold on to players and not experiement with new guys that may do us some good. Barnes is an ok player but he isnt a cornerstone for a ring or the future.

Ebanks can play SG thats why I would keep him if I was the Lakers and he would be cheaper than going out into the market and signing another SG for 1m+.

Ebanks has been used at SG but he is not a SG...no team would ever sign him to play SG as his main position. Ebanks is nothing special. He's had a few decent games on the strength of the team playing well but one good game at OKC and now people think he is a special talent. If they can get Beasley they should resign Ebanks or Barnes and let the other walk. They still have Eyenga on the roster too.
