To be honest, I'm starting to get the same vibe from the other Mike.

I really want to believe anything at all other than this guy can't coach a team without a prime Nash, and that he doesn't feel like he can win without the exact players he had on his Phoenix teams... No matter how old they are now...
But I swear, every time he speaks, that's what it sounds like to me.

I was really starting to feel the same, read this in the morning and it made me feel a little better:

http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/stor ... ni-support
"I just don't see how a player as smart as [Gasol] is, as talented as he is, as big as he is, doesn't fit into anybody's scheme. Then I've got to re-examine myself and think, 'I can't play with Pau Gasol?' C'mon. He's won two championships. I gotta rethink what I'm doing."

"Within the numbers, there's some good stuff -- defensively, mostly -- that, in the long haul, will make us contenders," D'Antoni said. "In the short run, our offense is anemic right now. It's not very good. The ball doesn't move. We don't do a lot of things that we should be doing, and we gotta figure that out. Again, a little bit (should improve) when we get everybody back. But at the same time, we gotta get better than 77 points (against the Pacers). I mean, that's kind of ridiculous.

"Like any coach that comes into a new situation, you gotta break habits without a training camp. Not bad habits. It's just different habits. We want to play a different way. It takes a while. It's like when you start a new golf swing. The first couple times out, you feel pretty good and you're like, 'Oh, boy! This is great!' And by the fifth time out, you're going, 'Oh, man!' You gotta work through it."

Then later he talks about Nash again. But hopefully he is really focused on how they are playing now, not how they will be playing when Nash gets back.

Good post madmax.

They are Knicks fans. What do you expect? Next thing you know, they won't trade Melo to LeBron.

Knicks fans are more homerish than Laker fans. If our players suck we are quick to point it out. Knicks fans live under a veil of perpetual ignorance.
 At thinking Melo is better than Lebron.
Melo isn't even a top 5 player in the league.

Watching Steve Novak, he knows exactly what he needs to do. He has clearly just worked on his 3-pit shot repeatedly. He knows his role, worked hard at it, and now he's successful.

In RealGm ,anytime there's an opportunity to trash the Lakers please believe over 80% of the members will be involved .

Hate on the LakersNation is always hard but that's because we are the most storied franchise ever.

P.S.
I wish we picked up Rasheed Wallace. We had the chance last summer SMH.
A lot of Laker fans were against signing him but you already see what he could bring to the table nowadays

More amusing than some Knick fans are some fans of other teams that are lurking the Knick board and once they see some Knick fans make odds statements , take those statements out of context and make fun of it on their own board while completely ignoring the context.

If you took a proper look at that thread instead of just taking a quick look at the poll results you'd CLEARLY notice that 99% of Knick fans CLEARLY said that Howard is easily the better player. On top of that , going by replies it seemed that at least 65% would trade Tyson for Howard in a heartbeat and the others wouldn't do it due to chemistry/leadership issues (which can't be understated in winning games) not because they believe Tyson is the superior player.

I'm also pretty damn sure that a bunch of fans from other teams go on these polls and make the odd vote just to ridicule Knick fans.

Watching the Knicks game yesterday, they basically run the MDA 1 4 spread pick and roll. With a half decent pointguard like Felton, you can see how the floor spacing is excellent. Also, look at how they move the ball, it doesn't stagnate. Lakers players should be watching the Knicks to see how to correctly run this offense.

Good thing is this offense seems to be an Achilles of the Heat, because it offers so many open three pointers and the Heat are ranked 7th worst at defending the 3.
