It does make sense to move Hill once Pau returns. You can't have a three man big rotation that can't mix and match parts. Tired of the Hill can't play with Dwight, Gasol-Hill works but Gasol is the jump shooter nonsense.

The team needs a true PF.

Im joking, but I really like Hill and would not give him up for just anything.

I wouldn't either, but I think this is the maximum for his value with the Lakers and I'd rather chip in on him then watch his value go down and trade Gasol.

I need to start watching more Rubio. Easily the best passer since Magic and Steve Nash. There was one pass vs Dallas to Stiesma I guess, that I don't think anyone else would even see let alone try and connect perfectly.

Something around Pau-Kirilenko would be amazing for both teams.

Speaking of Kirilenko, Batum got the first 5 x 5 since AK47 did it in 2006.

11 points, 5 boards, 10 assists, 5 steals and 5 blocks.

Only the 15th in NBA history. AK and Olajuwon got most of them... WIki link (decent article)

I know he's pretty athletic but 5 blocks is pretty impressive for anyone at that position not named Lebron or Kirilenko.

Batum is the perfect fit to the Lakers starting lineup. I think the Blazers could have been the best team in the league if it worked out for them with Roy, Batum, LMA, and Oden. They had the perfect balance of youth, athleticism, play making, spacing, and defense.

Those were some elite level ball handling skills but Kidd played it well. It sucks that I'll never get to see Kidd in a Lakers jersey. Been my dream since I was a kid. Damnit.

Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine

About to be posted online: ESPN sources say Mavs are waiving PG Derek Fisher at Fisher's request

Mavs will be calling up Chris Douglas-Roberts, widely regarded as D-League's hottest current prospect, to replace Fish. ESPN link on the way

So Dock, do we read anything into this or not? Is Fisher better than Duhon or Blake?

think it would be really scumbag-ish if fisher went and signed with the lakers.

he later said that its cause he misses his family, and i believe there's nothing else to it. i mean, what could fisher possibly offer? he can't shoot better than duhon/morris are, he can't defend, and this is the d'antoni offense where fisher would have no idea how to run a pick n roll. now, i wouldn't be totally shocked if he became like a coaching consultant or assistant with the team.

Clippers might sign him if Billups is off longer and they really like guys who used to play for LA.

Odom, Turiaf, Barnes, Butler, Fisher. That's a 5-man unit right there.

That is just one of two streaks James has going as he didn't get called for a personal foul for a sixth straight game. James' most recent foul was an offensive call against New Orleans on Dec. 8. He has played 250 minutes, 4 seconds without being whistled for a personal foul, though he was hit with a technical for arguing a no-call late in the first half on Saturday. :eek1:

For his part, James said he is enjoying the no-foul streak more than anything else.

"That means I'm putting myself in the right position and I'm not getting out of position," James said. "Just trying to be there before plays actually happen. That means I'm helping my teammates out on offense and defense."

He should be enjoying the treatment he's been getting. It has little to do with what he's doing on the floor and more to do with how the refs have decided to look the other way.
