Just wanted to pay my respects to Dr Buss and the Buss Family. Thank you so much for everything. I did not know Dr. Buss personally. I've never met him. However, he is responsible for some of the most memorable moments in my life. Growing up my family was a family of Laker fans. We gathered together to watch every playoff during the 80's. I got to watch basketball heroes live right in my neighborhood. Dr. Buss brought the basketball world to Inglewood. We were proud to live in the shadow of the forum. It was a great time. On very rare occasions in my youth my uncle would save up and take I and my cousins to see regular season games at the Forum. One of my most memorable moments in my life was when my Mom scored tickets from her boss at work to see the Blazers vs Lakers West Conf Playoff 1st Round Game 2. My Dad was sick with the flu. Instead of giving the ticket away she decided that I go with her to the game. I was stoked! It was so loud during the game. It was almost terrifying. We had a blast. I never saw my Mom so animated than that night cheering the Lakers on to victory. It is truly the most memorable moment with my Mom ever. Thank you Dr. Buss for making this memory possible.
2nd memorable moment is when I purchased day time weekend game tickets during the Shaq and Kobe Lakers era from a LAPD friend of mine. They have a section they buy AMAZING seats. Problem is I had 2 tickets and my bud had to work late. I was thinking of scalping them. But I decided to give them away. Yes I gave away a Lower Level near floor seat to a older lady who had struckout scalping tickets that day. She was in town from Iowa for a conference nearby. She got out early and decided to catch a Laker game. She had not been able to sight see and would be returning to Iowa the next day. I asked her would she like to join me since my buddy couldn't make it. The game was sold out and she was in shock. It was a great game Lakers won! She was amazed how good the seats were and thanked me for the ticket. I felt good having made someones day. Thanks to Dr. Buss for making this memory possible. You will be missed. God Speed.
THANK YOU

I had a feeling that would be on the internet soon after I saw it on TV. I've never seen someone in so much misery just trying to sit down in a chair.

The Rockets realize that the Lakers will not trade Howard ahead of the deadline, but his future with the franchise as a free agent is clearly uncertain.

stupid Houston

Houston with Dwight are contenders, but the Lakers have proven to win multiple championships. Lets see what happens tomorrow at the deadline. I hope Mitch makes a small move to help our bench.

Not sure who though.

best line today, from a new york Times piece on elderly stars the Knicks could have signed -

"the Knicks needed a big man, and ancient is how the Knicks roll. Our big men include Rasheed Wallace, who has been sitting on the bench, listed as “day to day” since 2009 with a “minor” foot problem that could result in amputation."

Damn Howard got his swag stolen, Pekovic wearing the same black arm band he wears. I didn't even know he was endorsed.

OKC doesn't impress me. If the floor is spread against these guys they'll be beat.

And you must stay consistent on pounding their interior. You have to render Perkins useless, this makes them go small for long stretches and compromises their defense.

They can't go small. If they go small Collison and Ibaka will struggle against Dwight. Keeping Perkins-Thabeet on the floor is a big part of L.A.'s plan for success.

The other problem for OKC is their lineup this year. Last year they could leave Harden in and no team could matchup on D. This year we've seen great teams put Wade and James on their two top guys and they've really struggled.

I wouldn't mind seeing OKC in the playoffs anymore.

Well of course they don't go small on us, I was thinking about them against the Heat and other teams that push a faster pace.
