Why for us?

Assuming we don't toss Pringles into the incinerator after Nash, Wall will feast with Howard in D'Antoni's run n gun system.

Why for Washington?

Gasol has been a long time advocate of strict Gun control and has well known tight connections with the Obama administration. Okay I just made that up. Lets roll with it anyway and deliver Pau to his BFF Barack Ollama.

yeah, only thing that would really work is Meeks+(Ebanks or Morris) for Allen, but not sure why MEM would do that

Memphis would never do it. Tony Allen is easily the best player in that transaction.

Ellis/Ilyasova/Gooden in

Why would the Kings want Ellis? Perhaps you are just assuming they are dumb?

Any trade needs to bring youth and #1 picks to the Lakers. If this year is a bust. Start to add youth and picks to the team for the next few years.

Lakers should be buying second rounders, in addition to whatever else they do via trade

To me if you look at the Spurs they have three at most four offensive producers. L.A.'s offensive producers as a group are better (especially if they can get a strong scoring guard off the bench).

If I'm L.A. I concentrate on fixing the most important issues:

1) Spacing
2) Defensive rotations

You don't need to get great players, just guys that fit like a Dorell Wright at SF to compliment Earl Clark at PF. You'll have spacing and good defense. Don't need start names, just good role players. Get a Jordan Crawford to bring scoring off the bench.

You don't need huge names, just the right players.

Houston is trying to get randolph from memphis... we can be the facilitators.

Lakers out: Gasol, morris, meeks, Sacre, and blake
Lakers in: Bayless, D. Motiejunas, Delfino, Cole Aldrich(exp), Royce White, first round picks, and Tony Allen
We send out 26 million in salary, take back 14.8 million, acquire young players, get a pick, and solidy our bench.

Memphis out: Randolph, Bayless, and Tony Allen
Memphis in: Gasol, morris, Patterson, meeks, first round pick, and blake
They get the gasol brothers together, and a good 3 pt shooter in meeks.

Houston out: Cole Aldrich, Royce white, Patterson, Bayless, D. Motiejunas, Delfino, and 2 first round picks.
Houston in: Randolph and Sacre

I would try to see if philly would trade dorrell wright for aldrich/royce white and ebanks.

Simple trade with the Jazz.

Chris Duhon+cash or draft rights to one of our obscure foreign prospects for Raja Bell.

Why for Lakers? Get a hard-nosed veteran defender who has been a consistent 40+% 3 shooter over most of his career. Played well under MDA and with Nash. Is an expiring contract who will probably resign for the minimum if we choose to retain him.

Why for Jazz? Bell isn't playing for them so at least they get something back for him. That's it lol.

Having Raja Bell would be nice but if my memory serves me correct he had a chance to play for the Lakers before and passed. This due to his supposed beef with Kobe dating back to the Lakers vs Suns playoff series in '06.
