If a Gasol-type player is not working in your system then why the hell would you trade for a crappier version of a Gasol-type player? Kobe would be spitting nails watching Bargnani play defense. Trust me.

Also, forget about the Hawks trading Josh Smith for Gasol. That would kill their chances to land Howard next year because they'd be taking on $19m of salary in 2013-14. I doubt Hawks would trade Horford+Morrow for Gasol though that'd be a nice package for the Lakers. I think the Hawks see a Howard+Horford front line is a promising goal for them to shoot for. Also, why improve the Lakers chance to win a title since that'd reduce the chances Howard would look elsewhere. So no chance on a Hawks deal.

I think a trade worth considering is a trade with the Celtics. The Celtics need front court help badly. The Celtics could offer Brandon Bass + Avery Bradley+Jeff Green for Gasol + Hill.

Bass can preserve front court strength (perhaps the Lakers could also sign a free agent or two - such as Kenyon Martin).

Bradley would be a great addition to guard the Westbrooks and other guards that would eat Nash alive.

Green would give some strong minutes at the 3 spot.

The Celtics would get a big frontcourt boost.

It'd be a win-win!

Add Lee for Boston, remove Hill and replace him with Blake and Duhon then you got yourself a deal.

You really believe he can play PF and challenge/attack Ibaka one on one?

He did it. He went off of screens and splashed three after three. Why do you think Miami won the series?

If you can't make a real argument get out of here.

LeBron was obviously there but it wasn't just LeBron being LeBron. Miami took OKC out of its element because it spread Ibaka out of the paint.

On the offensive end, there's nothing that Battier can do that Jamison cannot.

Absolutely, I'm a big fan of Jamison and his injury was a big reason why L.A. may look significantly better next time.

Also, keep in mind. December 15 is approaching. Have we officially heard from Kupchak himself that I don't want to trade Pau or anything definitive? The Lakers have calmed the trade winds and made things exceptionally quiet. Their target is Anderson, Minnesota's is Gasol, and there's a chance they could make a deal happen. New Orleans has a huge number of needs and I'm not sure they want Davis to be a C.

So since we already have Jamison, we don't need to trade Pau for a player like Shane Battier, right?

Is there any way that we can trade for Afflalo?
How about Afflalo/Hedo for Pau?

Raps fan...

Calderon Bargs and Klieza really would be a good fit on a run and gun team that has a defensive player like howard backing them up.

Bargs is a terrible team defender but he is actually a good man to man defender at the PF spot. He is not a good enough scorer to be the number one option on a winning team but put him on a team with Kobe and Nash and he going to look very good.

Calderon is good Nash insurance, he is a good backup guard on a big expiring contract something that is probably going to play a factor in any Gasol trade

Klieza is an okay 3/4 who shoots the outside shot well enough to be a good fit in your system.

Perhaps this package doesn't present enough value, but these guys really would help space the floor and make life easier for Nash Kobe and Howard....

We are seeing that trade proposal for a million times now. We don't want Bargs. And hell no to Kleiza. Calderon is the only decent player that we are to received. If you wanna trade with us, Bargs/Jose/Ross should be the starting point.

Best trade possible from la's standpoint would be Pau and ebanks for deng, taj, and rip.

If Gasol is getting traded to the Bulls, the Bulls will want us to take back Boozer and that poisonous contract of his.

I highly doubt they'd even trade Gibson for Gasol.

We've already seen it... Frankly I don't see any hope...
Posters at this level shouldn't have to be told to stop the Bargs talk... But we just seem lazy.
We have no chance against the Boozer posters.
