wasn't drunk. kind of desperate to pull off something. anyway, I'm not expecting any deals for us. I'm not waiting for trades, I'm expecting for some Mitch Magic.

Lakers out, Sacramento in: Dwight Howard, Jordan Hill

Sacramento out, Lakers in: Demarcus Cousins, Jason Thompson, Marcus Thornton, Aaron Brooks

Dwight wants to be the man, he'll be that in Sac town. pretty enticing start as well for the city of Seattle. there had been reports on a disgruntled Cousins though issues dead now. but hey, why wouldn't the Kings want Dwight? Thornton and Brooks' playing time isn't fixed and both are pretty inconsistent this season. this will also open up playing time for Jimmer and James Johnson and Robinson. Kings will be thin at the 2 spot though. they'll also miss Jason's energy but Hill has the potential to match that or even do better.

Thomas, Evans, Howard as core ain't that bad.

why for LA? they get a center that competes, period. an energy PF that can be effective without the ball, a back up 2 that can create his own shot, and a back up PG who is a lot better than those they have now.

salaries are ok though they have a lot of players. also, one big negative is this messes up the 2014 and 2015 plans.

Nash/Brooks
Bryant/Thornton
MWP
Clark/Thompson
Cousins/Gasol

and scrubs.

Jordan Crawford might be the worst rotation player defender in the league. He wouldn't fix what ails LA. Scoring is not an issue when the team is clicking.

How much is Pau Gasol worth now as an expiring contract? The money in a trade would be even, so it's really all about his value as a C now.

A Gasol trade that makes sense in the summer that's probably been mentioned on this thread but I haven't seen it is Gasol going to the T'wolves for D. Williams, Roy's contract, Barea, and Dante Cunningham coming to LA. The Laker can buyout and amnesty Blake and Duhon let Ebanks, Jamison walk and try to trade Hill for picks or cash the roster will look like this. Also this scenario only works if Dwight and Clark resign
2013-2014 Lakers
PG. Nash, Barea, Morris (RFA in the summer)
SG. Kobe, Meeks (Team option should be picked up)
SF. Artest, Cunnigham
PF. Clark, Williams
C. Dwight, Sacre (RFA in the summer
Add a few vets and rookies to fill out roster some vets that could fit Francisco Garcia should be affordable can play SG/SF and bring back Turiaf to be an extra big keep 1 or 2 rookies from camp you got your 14-15 man roster.

If Morris and Sacre is still on this team next year, I'm going to be pissed.

Why? Sacre has skills he can be a nice backup C and Morris is a prospect who still has potential.

use Pau to dump Peace too, Peace seriously destroy everything positive on offense. His miniscule contribution on D doesn't make up for the hinderance that he is offensively.

No need to amnesty Roy his contract isn't guaranteed next season so they can waive him if he's not traded.
