that better be Tyson Chandler, or else we have a gaping hole at Center behind Howard. Take out Hill and send Chandler to somebody for an expiring or a 2 year deal and I love it, not sure why Denver would though.

reports say Raptors are offering a package of Bargs, Calderon, and Kleiza while Minny is making a package around Williams and Pekovic.

Raptors offer look very appealing to be honest.

Defense would suck but offense could be incredible especially when Nash comes back.

Pretty obvious. I expect a lot of these until Pau starts playing again.

What about trying for Beasley again? Seems like it's not really working out in PHX for him.

There's a Gortat to Boston rumor making the rounds. If that goes through Pekovic could certainly be traded to the Suns in a three-team deal, perhaps for Markief Morris+Jared Dudley. That would give L.A. what they need at the backup 3 and at the 4.

So all in all Markief Morris+Jared Dudley+Derrick Williams

Raptors fan here. First I don't understand why Minny would be willing to give up Pek but whatever.
I also don't get why you guys wouldn't snap accept the raptor's offer. A Kobe/Dwight PnR along with Nash/Calderon, Bargs, Jamison at the wings would be magic. Seriously, Bargs and Calderon in LA is exactly what they need. Having Dwight would alleviate a lot of their defensive deficiences and allow them to be their best. You'll love Calderon as he's one of the best shooters out there.

Also I'd love to see Calderon play for the championship. He is really really underappreciated.

L.A. has to find a SF/PF that can flat out nail 3s and be competitive against Serge Ibaka. A great shooting forward that can body up with him on defense and absolutely attack him one-on-one would change things for L.A. If you can do that you force Ibaka off the floor, keep Perkins on the floor and then allow yourself to move a more athletic guy against Westbrook.

L.A. had success with small ball today, but it can be expanded to something better.

You are looking for another STAR PLAYER. Nobody will trade that kind of player for Pau.

Shane Battier was a star player last year right? He did exactly what I just said.

I have no idea why the Lakers would do a deal that traded Gasol for Bargnani. Bargnani is a worse version of Gasol. If a Gasol-type player is not working in your system then why the hell would you trade for a crappier version of a Gasol-type player? Kobe would be spitting nails watching Bargnani play defense. Trust me.

Also, forget about the Hawks trading Josh Smith for Gasol. That would kill their chances to land Howard next year because they'd be taking on $19m of salary in 2013-14. I doubt Hawks would trade Horford+Morrow for Gasol though that'd be a nice package for the Lakers. I think the Hawks see a Howard+Horford front line is a promising goal for them to shoot for. Also, why improve the Lakers chance to win a title since that'd reduce the chances Howard would look elsewhere. So no chance on a Hawks deal.

I think a trade worth considering is a trade with the Celtics. The Celtics need front court help badly. The Celtics could offer Brandon Bass + Avery Bradley+Jeff Green for Gasol + Hill.

Bass can preserve front court strength (perhaps the Lakers could also sign a free agent or two - such as Kenyon Martin).

Bradley would be a great addition to guard the Westbrooks and other guards that would eat Nash alive.

Green would give some strong minutes at the 3 spot.

The Celtics would get a big frontcourt boost.

It'd be a win-win!

You really believe he can play PF and challenge/attack Ibaka one on one?
