If he can keep the team afloat when Kobe is out of the game, the Lakers will win games.

I agree. DWest is the answer. Oh god. where have we fallen. But do it. 10 day contract will not get him here. I bet he wants a full season.

I was kinda confused why the Lakers didn't act on Arenas.

He was doing pretty well on the Grizzlies last year.

I assume that the reason was that we already have too many guards as it is, but I figured we could've waived some of them (Morris/Duhon)

And Im surprised we haven't acted on West, seeing that Dallas is probably done with him. Every locker room needs a little crazy. MWP on that mellow now.

edit- please don't color your posts blue or red. Those are mod edit and warning colors.

West is the answer to our problems right now. He solves one part.

I think Pau getting healthy is another key factor.

And another bench player who can produce is a must.

Blake, Duhon, Morris, Ebanks, and Clark must go.

What you don't realize is with at least a servicable defender at the PG/SG postions, that makes life on Nash/Kobe so much easier. Someone to at least stay in front of Westbrook/Pauls/Pakers, Deltone is a really good on ball defender, and can knock down a 3. Plus he creates on his own, I could see him really doing well under D'Antoni.

We should have just kidnapped Kyrie last night and sent Duhon back with Cleveland. See how long it would take Gilbert to notice.

If you guys had Calderon last night, you would have won. He's was clearly Irving's kryptonite last year!

Game 1 2-12 shooting, Cavs lose
Game 2 3-13 shooting, Cavs lose
Game 3 5-17 shooting, Cavs lose

New Guy here...

Just wanted to endorse the West idea like others have.

In fact, it is pretty much a no brainer since we have zero trade assets (assuming Pau stays) in light of have to STILL go out and get another wing player who can create or at least shoot the 3 and play some D.

Been a laker fan for 40 years and have to say that I have never been more concerned than i am right now with the poor job the FO has done. It is clear that Mitch and Jimmy stopped working and went on vacation after the D12 trade and thus were banking on contributions from our normal cast of second round scrubs...

Anyway.... i look forward to being on the board

hey give my Nets Gasol and we'll give you guys Watson and Joe Johnson to make the numbers work. D'Antoni loves shooters and JJ had his best season in D's offense in Phoenix. Watson filled in for DRose very nicely last season in Chicago. What do you guys think?

That still does not address our horrible defense!

Three team trade:

Lakers get: Anderson, Barea and Roy

Wolves get: Gasol, Morris and Ebanks

Hornets get: Pekovic and Williams

Barea would do a solid job as the temporary starting PG. Anderson helps spread the floor better, Roy is just salary filler.

We could only wish for a Christmas present that nice! Hornets thinks Anderson is virtually untouchable.

He's not untouchable. AD is a PF not a C. If they can get a really good young C in return I'm sure they'd consider it. Having said that, Pekovic isn't the one that would make them consider the move.

Anderson is 24. Pau is 32. I do not see that happening. Need a 3rd team to make it happen. But no one wants to help the Lakers.

I was against signing West a while ago because I'd only heard bad things about his personality but now I don't care he needs to be signed right now. DO IT MITCH!!
