Apparently Jennero Pargo is a consideration as well. I know he used to be a good shooter for a pg. Small though. It would be nice to have a guy at the pg spot that is a little dynamic. But I'm not sure what his story is lately.

If we can't win without Nash, not sure how Pargo is going to turn us around.

At this point what do we really have to lose by signing West. We can take a flyer on him and if he turns out not ot work we send him home. Bottom line is, waiting for Nash to come back is no longer a viable option. We could be too far behind by then.

West could replace Meeks at back up shooting guard, if Meeks is included in a trade. I think West is something like a 37% career three point shooter. That's not bad.

It has been a crazy season and I think it's time to fight crazy with crazy. Sign Delonte West. What else do we have to lose?

West should have been signed in the off-season. The fact that we're just now seriously exploring this option tells me how out of touch the organization really is in terms of our guard play.

Did we really expect significant contributions from our backup PG's coming in? I sure as hell didn't. West gives us a solid PG/SG rotation so that we'd always have a solid play-maker on the floor. Defensively he's better than any guard that we currently have on the rotation, Kobe included.

Let's be clear: Lakers are looking for a stopgap, not a savior.

Even if you get him as a stopgap he'd very likely play big minutes when Nash gets back. West is an above average PG. Duhon is below average at best. West-Kobe is a great combo.

We should do our best to spend at least $10-$15 million for coaches and players that are no longer on the roster.

It's just pathetic that Lakers fan hoping Delonte West to be the savior for the franchise. I mean WTF, Delonte West to save the LAKERS? Lakers should put their heads up and play hard, they will be fine.

I genuinely hate delonte west and was 100% against the lakers signing him in the off season.

Now I'm not sure how I feel about the lakers acquiring him. He's still a headcase and I would hate seeing him wear a lakers uni, but at the same time he would be a massive upgrade over the current back ups and he is at least a somewhat respectable defender.

Ughh Laker fan problems....

Milsap, Mo Williams, and Bell for Pau and Blake... Still think this is a better way to kill those birds...

But I am interested in how Pau plays when Nash gets back.

I thought williams had issues with coming off the bench?

Maybe it had more to do with who he was coming off the bench for...

But I don't know... I don't want to trade Pau because I think Pau is better than whoever we could get for him, but if they can't use him right, I'd prefer a trade over just signing someone as a stop-gap.

Pathetic? That's a strong word, it's basketball, way to be dramatic.

And nobody thinks West is gonna right the ship or turnaround our season, but he is a very nice player who can help this team in a variety if ways.
