Dr. Klapper was probably trying to give examples of how severe it could have been. He mentioned subluxation (partial dislocation) vs luxation (dislocation) and that if he needed surgery, he'd probably be out much longer. He also said that if it was the playoffs, Howard would be playing.

10 day contracts start soon, right?

Kieth Benson should get a call up. Maybe M'Benga (can block shots) or Powe. Dan Gadzuric.

For the wing try out Rodney Carney or Balkman.

Small ball comin up. D'Antoni deluxe. I bet Metta starts at the 4, and Kobe moves to the 3.

Also this is incredibly bad luck having those three go down. Seriously, an entire frontcourt rotation in one game, that's not even typical of a season if you include every single team.

Three games out of 8th seed now and by the end of next week 8 games out...

Sayonara 2012-2013 season... That's just way too big of a gap to make up in half a season. We'd have to win at 90% rate...

Dwight's shoulder was already tweaked but to lose Hill and Gasol on the same night? Smfh!

It will be interesting to see how Mitch and the rest of the front office reacts to these injuries. All season long they've been content in letting things play out and hoping this team's chemistry and defensive effort would develop. They've resisted going after available free agents like Delonte West and Kenyon Martin who may have a positive impact and have held firm in their belief that this team has what it takes to be a contender despite all the evidence to the contrary. If they do nothing and hold steady it will amount to a tacit admission that they've written this season off already. At this point you can't just do nothing and expect things to get better.

Mike Bresnahan ‏@Mike_Bresnahan
With Jordan Hill also out at least 2 games (hip injury), Lakers might turn to Robert Sacre as starting center Tuesday vs. Houston.

He's gonna be out for more than 2 weeks?

A trade is becoming more and more eminent. I'm going to look at this from a more optimistic perspective and say that this is only speeding up the trade process. Best case scenario Pau is a shipped out in the next couple weeks. Management isn't going to just sit around and watch this team dig themselves into a bigger hole.

I am really trying to find a silver lining here guys!

Silver lining is winning two games on the road against Houston and San Antonio with Kobe having a couple of extraordinary epic games. Kobe is good enough to will these two games.

Remember a Mamba attacks viciously when it's cornered.

Look to Nash to be far more aggressive as the 2nd offensive option.

All we need is a few unsung heroes to go crazy...Metta can do it...Meeks...etc? It's possible, especially since there will be less pressure and expectation to win these next two.
