Q: I think we all remember one of the great plot points of Face/Off, in which Castor Troy used his new identity as Sean Archer to sleep with Archer's wife Eve. Troy had to have had at least one STD right? He was a nefarious criminal that fraternized with seedy underworld types and had the libido of a drunken frat boy. His sexual exploits were hinted at when his brother discussed Castor's menage with Ivan's sister and wife. Who knows how many of those experiences he had? He doesn't strike me as the type of guy that would use protection either. And while Troy was disguised with Archer's face, he still had his own body, which was probably rife with disease. Wouldn't that be the ultimate "Eff You" Castor Troy could give to Sean Archer? Sleeping with his wife and leaving her with some kind of super-STD that she would most likely give to Sean during their "I'm Back From The Hospital And I Have My Own Face" sex? Sean Archer won the battle, but I think Castor Troy won the war.

In other news I ended up dropping my Neuro modeling class and managed to get into an intro to biotech course. Seems easy, but boring because they are in the beginning of the course thats all basic bio that Ive gone over a hundred times. I need a drink on this three day weekend.

I'm already a junior in neuroscience/cognitive science, but Bio engineering seems interesting. I might take a couple of more classes :)

rant

THE PEDAL BOARD LIVES!

So I've been playing guitar with no effects since i started a little over a year ago. I felt I didn't "deserve" to add effects until I had some basic understanding of the instrument. Finally though, I noticed in the band we sounded empty so I started using a distortion pedal, soon after I bought a wah i never used lol Finally lately I decided to piece a pedal board together after a customer I met hooked me up on pedals for hooking him up on his year end finances, the guy is one of if not the biggest US dealers of those pedals, which aren't some well established brand but got a nice cult following. I got five pedals for free, which I got to choose and I only bought the power strip to power the pedals and a jimi hendrix univibe clone which i paid $75 in total for.

Took that home and realized i needed patch cables so I went to sam ash and got the George Ls cables, no soldering needed. I needed two more cables so i just bought what they had. After some slight discouragement I managed to get the cables all working and finally got it all working well this morning. The hold up was i busted the nut on my main guitar and was skeptic about doing it myself so ive been playing with old Virgil, a red Epi SG special :-? that's been through hell at least twice, it's got a special place in my heart as i re-wired it myself with some Gibson pickup and dimarzio pickup a buddy of mine had lying around.

So finally I have a pedalboard. It actually is being built into a vintage Samsonite hard shell suitcase I bought recently. That way when I want to pack away the pedal board I don't have to dismantle it apart, I can just destabilize the two back hinges that keep the pedal board at a angle like this "/" for easy access. Then it all fold into a easy to carry suitcase. I'll be done with it by this weekend so i'm quite excited about this.
