Consistency...

Post#81 » by gfresh8 » Tue Feb 12, 2013 3:21 am

Tough loss last night! Its tough to see the Lakers making the postseason with how they are playing now. They haven't gotten a solid winning streak together and have already dug themselves a pretty deep hole. They show signs of greatness but lack the constant effort of playoff caliber teams like the Heat and OKC. Hopefully they get their team together without Pau in time to wrap up their road trip in Phoenix and get a rally going on their next home stretch. With the way their playing its tough to say, either they start playing better or changes need to be made....

True. January was just really rough before that OKC win. It still haunts me whenever they give up leads or go down big early. I guess the rest of this month is favorable for a good push.

I'm looking at Houston/Utah's schedule for the rest of the season and I really can't see them losing more than 12 games for the rest of the season. This means if we're to sneak in to the 7th/8th spot realistically we can't lose more than 7-8 games from here on out (46-47 wins).

Maybe I'm just overestimating Houston/Utah?

Welling at they're next 3 games.. they're facing clippers tmr night (the rockets second night of a back to back)
After that they have OKC and visiting the nets.

If we can gain ground here, that spot is easily up for grabs.

It's better for us in terms of the standings since we need Houston to lose some games.

Portland getting blown out. We'll be tied in the loss column but they'll still be ahead of us because their conference record is better.

We are tied with Portland, and if Houston lose tonight we are only one game behind from the 8th seed.
