I think the Lakers need to start playing some inspiring basketball to honor Jerry Buss and win a ring this season in honor of him.

I just hope they at least compete and show true effort. For Dr. Buss for the Lakers organization and what they have stood for since Dr. Buss. Just compete and play hard for the rest of the season.

Exactly HOOP, that shouldn't be too damn hard to ask.......since you were gladly banking the checks he was signing.

We all need a Dr.Buss sig to rock in solidarity.

This is what I said when Chick passed away but unfortunately we couldn't even win a championship for him with Shaq and Kobe..

Just hope his passing will light a fire under the team that'll cause some momentum for the 2nd half of the season.

Well the emotion needs to be there and the 100% effort that is for sure. If this event cannot instill some pride, motivation, and determination to conquer this league then nothing will.

Not sure even this type of event would inspire this team. Mike D'Antoni even said in an interview, he never met Jerry Buss.

win a ring? how about us winning a game or two first....

Lakers don't need to do nottin' but stay black and pay luxury taxes.....oh my bad forgot about Nash and Pau.

It would have been nice if they would have come out with effort/passion in the last game vs the Clippers...knowing that it may have been the last game he saw.

As for Chick I see him leaving life with a big smile on his face because the final three seasons of his broadcasting were championship years.
He waited a good twelve years before he saw lakers dominance again so I'm not sad he went out like that at all.

There is no chance in hell they win a ring, but I certainly hope they honor Dr. Buss by putting their best effort forward for the rest of the year and squash all the BS off the court.

Play the season out like professionals.

There is always a chance. If Lakers keep playing like they did against boston...they can very well win a ring this year.
