this guy's really pulling an MJ.

Sessions still around? we need a starting SF not a backup, Wes is a backup who shouldn't be starting.

Lin
Kobe
____
Boozer
Hill

If you look at our supposed game 1 starting lineup, I think Wes is actually very suited to start. Not only is he very likely as B-Scott's indicated as much, but that lineup can score pretty well with Lin, Kobe, and Boozer.

It's actually very rare for a player to be part of the 1 apg, 1 bpg, 1 spg club...plus he can defend and shoots 3's at nearly 37%. Classic glue-guy.

He shot that percentage from 3 with essentially zero players who commanded a double team last year. Playing half the time with lineups with D-League talent. Wes is the kind of guy who is a perfect fit to play along side Kobe. They can hide one another's weaknesses really well.

Let him guard 3 or 4 positions and with that amazing length shut off the perimeter. And on offense let him hit the occasional 3, make the occasional pass, and hustle plays, all while he can comfortably defer to Kobe and Lin.

We're gonna his length to cut off the perimeter, as we don't have a true rim protector.

There's a whole lot that can go wrong with a team like they're trying to build in Cleveland... Especially with a unstable front office...
Also, they're going to be leaning on him heavily to take the biggest paycut to "Keep it together"... LeBron gots his...

That said, I think it would be a huge long shot for Love to leave Cleveland.

3 horrible things will have to happen for Love to leave IMO.

1. they lose, and very badly
2. Lebron game forces him into being Bosh like, as in stand there in the corner and top of the key and shoot 3's
3. The losing is blamed on him

I think 2 and 3 are a virtual lock... But I doubt they loose often enough for it to matter a whole lot.

I think the pressure on Love and Irving is going to go through the roof. The pressure on the entire organization other than LeBron, his crew and the 3 or 4 players he really likes, is going to skyrocket...

I have my doubts the team will survive it... But I still think those doubts represent the extreme long shot, worst possibility for them.

This isn't their year yet, but next season and the following several are likely going to be pretty boring for anyone not a fan of Cleveland.
Never have rice at Hanzo's house...

We're gonna get Westbrook sooner or later. He's a FA in '16 right?

This is what I think.
Durant is a long shot but I think Westbrook would leave and come back to LA when he is an FA in 2016.
I'd give Westbrook the max without hesitating. Not so sure if I'd do the same with Bledsoe.

Pure speculation on my part. I just saw the Westbrook got engaged to his UCLA girl. He's too LA for anywhere else.

That is exactly right. He's too LA to not be in LA.
The way he talks, walks, dresses, plays. It's all LA!!!
He is a a great player with some serious flash.
There is another thread about how Zach Lavine would be a great choice to replace Kobe.
I think Westbrook is that man and hope he ends up in LA and we rebuild around him and Randle.
I also hope that Marc Gasol is our center of the future.

I think getting Westbrook would depend on how much the team can improve between now & then.. If Kobe looks like he never missed a beat & Randle is a beast, we won't need much more to offer Westbrook a chance to win rings. Let's see how he bounces back from his recent injury history first though.

According to your logic, Tim Duncan doesn't deserve any respect.

Playing in LA is definitely a gateway to getting a job in TV or movies. Hell one player even got a talk show! Look at how Baron Davis and Steve Nash embraced that notion while not being able to ball anymore.

Well, as today was Media Day and we have essentially signed everyone we're going to, it's time to say farewell to this epic Official Free Agency Thread.

Take a screenshot gang, you don't see 134 pages all that much.

Until next summer, capspace.

Biggest questions for next year: Jeremy Lin will we re-sign? Did Jordan Hill earn another 9M? Can we lock down Wes or X long term? Boozer? Nash?--Kidding about Nash.

I think.
