Lakers are better at every position across the board, with the exception of the Kobe/Jordan matchup which is really close. Prime Shaq would easily average 35 and 15 against that Bulls front court. It's no contest.

That leaves one spot open, and it should make for a really close race between the Pistons, Hornets, and Nets. I'd give a slight edge to the Pistons just because their starting five, and roster in general looks way better on paper. But at the end of the day, your guess is as good as mine.

Neither Pacers nor Raptors are a real lock. We don't even know how Hawks would recover from losing Carroll, that team looked totally different when it missed a single starter.

You also don't know how the Pacers defense will look. There is no guarantee that Myles Turner will replace Hibbert's defensive production, and there's really no point in expecting rim protection out of Jordan Hill.

Yeah and you never know how long the Paul George at the 4 nonsense will last before everyone realizes its stupid.

Paul George at the 4 would mean defensive death, especially if that means starting both Monta and Stuckey.

Vogel nearly coached the Pacers to a playoff birth last season without Paul George, and no George Hill for much of the season. If the SL is any indication of things to come, I'm sure Turner will manage just fine in place of Hibbert. He's already shown advanced defensive skills and rim protection and he might already be a bigger scoring threat than Hibbert. Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but I don't see the Pacers missing much of a beat without Hibbert...they'll still finish in the top half of the league defensively.

George Hill
Monta Ellis
Paul George
Jordan Hill
Myles Turner

38 wins last season with a depleted roster (56 and 49 the previous two seasons). Their floor is probably 42-45 wins next season which would be good enough 6th in the east at the very least.

As far as the Hawks are concerned, you simply don't go from the best team in the East to a fringe playoff team just because you lose a average player in Carroll. Carroll is a bigger scoring threat than Thabo, but in the grand scheme of the team I don't think the Hawks will have much of a dropoff. They also added Justin Holiday--who I thought was a steal--he's a good 3 and d guy who could prove to be their unsung hero next season.

Toronto can't be any worse off than last season. They added Joseph, Carroll, and Scola if anything they'll finish .500 which would be good enough for 6th or 7th. Unless of course they go full rebuild and trade Lowry and Derozan.

The thing is, George Hill dominated when he returned, and Stuckey was unreal for stretches as well. I don't know if you can count on those two to produce the same way again.

What's stopping them? I mean they're both technically entering the prime of their careers, atleast in terms of age.

The return of Paul George and the signing of Monta, as well as the looks that Hill will inevitably demand, given how upset Jordan was with the limited role D'Antoni assigned him. I get that more offensive threats might just make everyone more efficient, but I also see a scenario where everyone wants the ball and no one wants to pass, leading to a stagnant offense that only generates bad looks.

lakers have 4 of the best 5 players (kareem, MJ, magic, wilt, shaq) and arguably 8 of the best 10 (wilt, kobe, worthy, pippen, baylor)

lol, no way the bulls can hold a candle to LA

I know he loves Barca. He's been to plenty of practices before. met Ronaldihno etc.

What surprises me the most is that he speaks very fluent spanish. I know he's married to a latina, but still surprising.

The biggest factor would be Magic Johnson.

He would have 20 assists by halftime. Magic would be setting everybody up where all they would have to do is make the open jumper or layup.

Plus Kareem and Shaq would dominate the boards. Sure The Worm would put up a fight on the boards but a 2000 Shaq with a 7'3 Kareem.... Not gonna matter.
