Daughter got hit in the head by a ball at soccer and felt woozy so I took her to the DR...

Receptionist was wearing a hazmat mask and goggles and wouldn't open the glass partition until I answered the Ebola questions. I did and she took it all off and opened the glass...
Which left me looking around the reception area thinking, "WTF did I just walk into?"
Then they took us into a room to wait for a Dr and a Nurse came in and asked the same questions... I swear she was mad-dogging us... One of the questions was "Have you ever been around anyone that showed Ebola signs or symptoms?"
I said, "I have no idea what the signs and symptoms of Ebola are?" Which clearly pissed her off...
She said; "Fever, nausea, dizziness... (I didn't catch the rest)"
And I said; "Probably... Haven't you?"
She got the Dr... We had a pleasant conversation.

I mean, some of that's legitimate, but at the same time, they're supposed to be the experts.

They acted on the one hand like it was just a formality and I wasn't playing along... Which is asinine... And scary.
And on the other hand like I was deliberately trying not to answer these life threatening questions... Which is just ridiculous...

Couple that with the fact the lady behind the glass couldn't even get the mask on right and was holding it on with her hand... And the goggles looked like ones I get at Home Depot... And the whole thing just made me want to renounce my citizenship... In society...

I would say shes being paranoid, but she has to be to a certain extent. Those type of questions do get annoying though.

Going back to Santa Cruz in a bit. Might chill out in San Jose for a bit.

Am I missing something here - what's with the recent influx of Toronto Raptors fans on our board?

Taking the next two days off using my PTO. No better feeling than getting paid and not working :D

Took my Dog out to Runyon Canyon this morning, got some girl's number strictly because she liked my Dogs collar. Hopefully it leads to something more or maybe she just only wants me to get her dog the same collar LOL

She looked a bit like that without the plastic suit...

I know they were just following policy, but I was standing there worried about my daughter and they didn't even acknowledge there was someone hurt there... Sort of a "Me First" kind of mentality that you don't want to have to deal with at the Dr...

Thanks man, she was fine... It was a nasty kick from about 4 feet away and she's had 2 girls on the team get concussions this season and miss a full Month of school as a result... I just wanted an 'all-clear' from a doc for piece of mind.
She's a tough kid... Too tough for her own good. She shuts up when she gets hurt and won't let anyone know until later... Which might be a small issue with a concussion.

stubborn eh. She takes up after her father. Good to know shes alright though.

People are in frenzy about ebola without actually knowing what it is and how you get it.
It's kind of annoying.
