I dont see anything Clarkson does that looks like Sess. Sess is a PG through and through but really can't shoot, this clarkson guy is the exact opposite.

I hope this guy brings it as I just didn't see what others were seeing. Lakers had lots of athletic guards with potential.

Ramon Sessions is definitely more of a true PG. Clarkson should develop more at the two at his size. I wouldn't really consider Clarkson a much better shooter though. He's better than what he shot his last year in college though.

I wasn't referring to his game/skills etc etc. There is 'almost always' at least one guy from the lakers bench that everyone loves the most and that's what I was referring too mostly - although this year we have plenty of great bench players, Clarkson will stand out the most if given time, which I'm sure he'll get.

I don't think Clarkson can shoot. I think people are looking at his potential (size, penetration, defending) at that position.

Clarkson was the best player on the Lakers’ Summer League team, leading them in points and rebounds, while shooting better than 40 percent from 3-point range.

He can shoot...

He's going to play big minutes in a lot of games this season. He's the backup PG on every 2nd half of back to back games with Nash's injury and whatever other games Nash can't play.

Is Jr Smith too much of a high ceiling for this guy?

Great find on that first vid, Noodle.

Clarkson is coming in with a lot of fire. I've seen so many videos and pictures of him working out this summer. I think he's not only a steal for the second round, but he's gonna make the sting of not magically being able to buy LaVine almost irrelevant.

That's how you gotta do it when building a team on a budget, we found the next best thing maybe not the insane athleticism (still plenty), but I see a greater intensity.

Jordan Clarkson's salient talent is getting past defenses to the rim. He does that remarkably well. Jumper is streaky, which may be a problem fitting into set rotations with Byron Scott. Not exactly clear how he can have a major role, aside from coming off the bench and attacking the rim against soft defenses.

He's not a point guard, certainly not pass-first, and his playmaking abilities are nowhere near lead guard capability.

But if he works on that jumper, he can be a quality sixth man scorer.

Ramon Sessions plays scared, and was the primary factor of getting bounced in the playoffs that year - "adored" ? For what? He was gutless and he ran away

He's a zero guard. But sure I can see his main value coming in and scoring off the bench...but he's also purported to be a pesky defender. In the right situation who knows?

Also, from some of the glimpses of his 5-on-5 play this summer, I'd his distribution abilities aren't bad and with Lin and Nash on the team, they should improve.

I think Clarkson's a hard enough worker to really expand on his game, but who knows, we'll see what happens.

Wanted Marble on draft night, but man has Clarkson continued to impress. More so than your typical second-rounder who you are excited to have on the team just because he is a young addition.

This guy seems like he lives and breathes basketball, but most importantly has the physical tools to compete at the NBA level. We already know how smart Asians are so this is a great combination here. Definitely looks better than my first assessment on draft night.

Clarkson is more of a point guard than your boy LaVine, no doubt.

sure baffles me that Lavine wants to be a PG. It's hard to get behind players that don't even understand their own strength.
