Beabois should be on an NBA team.

I like Marshall playing because he'll be able to put guys in positions to get easy buckets (and thus increase their confidence). Kelly isn't on the list because he's technically a free agent until he accepts his QO or another offer from another team. Anyway, there's a lot of notable names on this list:

Rodrigue Beaubois-Former first round pick of the Mavericks. He has excellent physical tools at 6'2 with a nearly 6'10 wingspan and a 8'4 standing reach. Those are Rondo like measurements. He also registered a 39.0" max vert at the 2009 Combine. He's had a sizable role for Dallas but seems to be injury prone. I'm intrigued mostly with his defensive potential assuming his health checks out. Offensively he's got the game of a combo guard, kind of like a shorter Stuckey. Keep in mind he's only 26 as well.

DeAndre Kane-Surprised he went undrafted, I guess teams were scared off by his age (25) and his limited ceiling. Also more of a combo guard but he's got a lot of power to his game. A little OJ Mayo with more smarts, less reliance on jumpshots, and more slashing. Actually I think a more interesting projection is an older Marcus Smart with less defense. I'd take a flier on him.

Those are the two I'm primarily interested aside from obviously Randle, Clarkson, Kelly, and Marshall. Jerome Jordan might be an option for us at C as he played for the D-fenders a few years ago. Good size, can swat some, not incompetent in the post, but doesn't rebound that well and is still raw IMO. Kevin Murphy is a scorer and that's pretty much it. He did average over 25 points per game in the D-League last year and put up some monster numbers on a few nights IIRC. Seems to be a consistently high 3 point shooter percentage wise. Wouldn't be bad as a 3rd stringer I suppose but he's lower on the priority list. Mbakwe wouldn't be bad as a third string, energy big. Ross is sort of a tweener in the worst way, not that high on him.

Kevin Murphy can fill it up. I saw him drop 50 on the Defenders last season in a D-league game.

It would be awesome to see Roddy B bounce back, and sign with us cheap.

Knock on wood that Marshall keeps progressing. I love the kid.

Randle for MVP.

If Marshall gets outplayed by any of those guards in this SPL, you can bet he'll be cut once camp comes. The comp is stiff, heck he's not better than Kane or Clarkson and not too much better than Beaubois

With the way teams are overpaying for FA and considering how thin is our roster, wouldn't be surprised if 2-3 guys on this team make the next season's roster(along with Clarkson/Marshall and Randle obviously)

Kane,Murphy,Beaubois,Ross and Smith are all talented guys who should be in the NBA IMO

I am very excited to watch the summer league. Obviously I am very excited to see Randle. Additionally it seems that there are a lot of prospects to keep an eye on that really shocked me to find them all on a single summer league team. It seems more like a summer league all star roster to me.

I am a Buckeye fan though, so I am most excited about Ross. I know that Ross can be a stud if he puts in the work and gets some good coaching. He was a stud recruit, but he missed a lot of his freshman season due to academic issues. Coach Matta was a stickler for defense, and Ross never was able to excel on that side of the ball, and the Buckeyes were stacked with talented defenders, so that also hindered his progress. When he played he showed a sweet stroke, and an ability to get to the rim. I was shocked that he entered the draft though as a terrible slump to begin last season (especially from 3 point land), along with defenses focusing on him to a large degree due to us having absolutely no other offense really held his stats down. On top of that he then showed up with an extra 15 pounds and disappointing body fat percentages. All of that lead to him going undrafted, but I could really see him becoming a steal.

Lookin' forward to seeing Roddy Buckets. That guy balled out in Dallas. If it weren't for injuries, he'd probably be in the NBA currently.

Which schedule are you looking at? There are 5 games starting on Friday July 11th, 2014.

The Lakers are scheduled to play the Raptors at 3pm at the Cox Pavilion.

Anybody know the whereabouts of Manny Harris?

Y'all can't tell me dude didn't bust his ass when we called him up from the D League last year. I was hoping we brought him in again.
