He's got a point though...let's say you're at Sunday's games and a player or two can hurt you more than help you
You can bench them at that point

Ty meant you can't bench ALL of your players for a full week ,like I did last year...that's full blatant tanking
When you bench a guy or two on a specific day ,with the purpose of helping you in a category like TO's or FG%/FT%...that should be allowed

On another somewhat similar note... I kind of hate that you all parade around here with the same name over and over (Minus Jay from LA, Stephano, Wavy Q or whatever he is going by nowadays. Whoever he is, he has a little something I like to call The Metamorphosis Syndrome. A soul on the move and evolving, emerging anew, etc. You can detect it with it his constant name changing. The guy seems to never sit still and pops in at the most random times, would make for a great drinking buddy. For an hour or two anyway. I'm kind of hoping some of this stuff, his stuff, rubs off on me.). Its unoriginal.

Clips traded Dudsley, so it look like Matt Barnes will get plenty of minutes. Another starter for team KJG!

So I have something on my mind...

Lebron's fantasy value has continuously dropped for consecutive seasons now, and all indications (age and statistics) point to him being on a downward spiral in terms of fantasy value.

His decline in blocks from 0.9 to .03 was a major indication that he'll probably never reach top two value again, let alone number one status.

Defensively he took the majority of last season off in game, and I think this will be the new norm for Lebron moving forward, similar to what we saw with Kobe at the tail end of his 20's. Lebron will conserve a lot more for the post season in an attempt to maintain his body as fresh as possible and as a result, his defense will take a hit as it did a season ago. If that's the case then we can all probably safely assume his steal totals might also be on their way down as well.

Yet, even while that was evident all of last year, along with the fact that he posted 5th overall fantasy in standard 9 cats behind Curry, KD, AD and Chris Paul: He is still comfortably being picked ahead of Davis.

Uh. Madness, right?

Personally, I think most of these owners are seeing the name Lebron James and are jumping at him without so much as giving a second thought to what I eluded to. Nevermind that there is a 21 year old that is knocking on Durant's door as fantasy's best. Outside of the argument that "Lebron is more durable", the facts say that 21 year old is just better and should continue to get better as Lebron's numbers remain relatively unchanged or continue to decline.

But what the hell, for the sake of argument, lets say both James and AD did post identical value last season. I would still argue Davis holds more value because of the unique type of fantasy player that he is. Take shot blocking (he led the league in last season), a scarce category that if you wanted to excel in you usually found yourself having to punt FT% as most of the league's better shot blockers are piss ass at the foul line. its a problem that won't be encountered with AD as an anchor.

The only real possible concern with selecting AD second overall would be that if you weren't punting dimes, you would have to grab a facilitator like Rubio, Rondo or some variation of well facilitating players with your next few picks. Assists become pretty difficult to find after the middle rounds. Some problem to have, right? But, given his low TO rate (for the strategists wary of the their TO numbers, I see you Ty), I can't even complain much about that.

Anyhow. What are you guys' thoughts on LBJ this up coming year with his new team?

Am I sleeping on him or am I just far too enamored with Davis? Because I have to admit, aside from the statistical gold mine that AD proved to be a season ago, the guy was a freaking blast to own and watch.

There are some fans out there who want him to shave that brow off, fix his teeth, but I think he's fine and that those physical traits fit his unique game perfectly. And even if his small head doesn't exactly quite fit his body, I managed quickly to look past all the superficial baloney and accept all of him for who he really is, a fantastic person on and off the floor. With Lebron, well, I'll just hold my tongue there. I might be a tad biased but in this case I feel it is well warranted.
