I agree with Lin, he's not the main plot. People forget Kobe never got a chance to face Dwight since he left. Kobe will be ready for this game but not for the sake of facing Howard. Howard doesn't have the cache that would even ruffle Kobe's feathers.

As for Jeremy he's in the perfect sniper role for this one, just hope he has the same venom as Kobe has that night to go out and assassinate the Rockets.

For some reason ever since they announced this game as the opener, I've had a good feeling of Lin having his finger prints all over this game.

I'm looking forward to seeing HIll VS Howard match up. I just hope Hill can stay out of foul trouble, then again Howard has same problem - should be one awesome game to watch

That first game we had against them where Blake hit the winner, I'm pretty sure Jordan Hill did a very good job.

I'm excited for Kobe. Very curious to see how he's going to look and he's going to bring it, no question.

1)How Kobe looks. Does he have lift on his shot? Does he have agility?
2)How well Lin run the team. I'd love to see him develop into a PG who controls our offense and tempo and gets everyone involved, including Randle.
3)A much improved team defense. Good Lord! Last year's defense really gave me indigestion. Let's play some D!!!

Yeh I didn't see the whole game, I think if I remember correctly I came in near the end of the 3rd ... Sucks being in different time zones when most games are half way through when your just getting home from work.

Howard is a matchup where Boozer can actually play to his strengths ... defend a center with no perimeter game and also block him off the offensive glass.

Man some of you are so snobby. You guys should be excited regardless of the plots, or of who we are playing. This is the season opener...tons to get excited about...new coach, new talent, Kobe, Dwight, chemistry, dynamics, starters, oh...and its the season opener.

1. Kobe drops 30+ points against the rockets ...
2. But Lin drops the buzzer beater game winner ...
3. The commentator ends the game by saying "Houston We Have A Problem" ...

The only storyline I care about is "did we win" or "did we lose"

Also, article is stupid, our off season was good, not "dissapointing".

Kobe wont be back to being Kobe yet. It takes time to shake off all that rust. 2 major injuries. I wish we played Rockets in late Nov give our team time to find our identity/develop chemistry. I really enjoy seeing Dwight & Harden lose. I HATE floppers. Harden could be so good if he stopped using the flop as a crutch. Flopping is like spitting in the face of real fans. Obviously Dwight is on my ish list for leaving the best team in the world and believing in the Flop/Parsons/Lin over Kobe/Gasol/Nash.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!
