Watching Texas vs Kansas. Like Turner on defense but three player I really like in this game is the Texas pg Isaiah Taylor. Dudes been excellent in this game so far.

TyCobb wrote:Looney's length coming through in this second half. Real active defensively and on the boards helping UCLA get back in the game. He is so long. Biggest weakness is his lack of strength, but with a body that long, it's understandable why he isn't there yet like most guys.

Just another double-double for Looney. 10 points, 5 offensive rebounds, 6 defensive rebounds, 2 steals, and a block. He was 3-10 FG, however, majority of those misses were put back attempts after offensive boards, shot 1-2 from 3 point range. One offseason in the weight room and he's a flat out monster.'

Also, Bobby Portis with a game winning tip-in.

Got to watch Looney a few times in high school when I went home on leave, and that dude is legit. Granted it was high school ball, he was so much more fundamentally advanced than everyone. His growth is sort of being stunted on that UCLA team in my opinion. Would love if we could nab him somehow - but with Randle there's really no point.

Unless Looney can make the move to SF.

I got Towns at 4# for the Lakers now, I like his pairing offensively with Randle, might be difficult to make them a powerful duo defensively but that is fixable.

Russell makes everything look so effortless on offense. 16 points 4 rebounds 5 assists 2 steals in the first half.

Man, I've been asking myself the same question. Do we choose Russell or Johnson if given the chance. I like Russell's game more but stanley has less chance of busting

Russell + Randle would be a match made in heaven IMO. Both lefties, scorers, unselfish, score within the context of the offense. PnR would be tough to defend

Russell is comfortably better than Johnson and its not close either. Only thing I'd pick Johnson for is if I think he can be a game changing defender but even then you don't pass on a guard like Russell.

Not to mention, no matter how much people preach defense, a great offensive player will still win you more games than a great defensive one, especially on the wings or 1.

Absolutely, see Lillard and Harden. I'd give up an arm and a leg for a dynamic guard like that. Lillard has won some games for Portland where the whole team was sluggish solely based on his ability to hit incredibly tough shots in the 4th.

How long has it been since we've had a good wing? "Wing" as in Small Forward first and Shooting Guard second.
On Harden being MVP of this season ( I don't even like Harden much)

Ever.
Absolute spud of a bloke and **** traits as a player, basically tarnish the MVP forever

Ariza and Artest must be the best SFs we've had in a long time.

2014
1 7 Julius Randle
2014
2 46 Jordan Clarkson

Interesting to note that Julius Randle was our first 1st round pick since Javaris Crittenton in 2007. I guess I knew that going in, but it is sort of crazy to see how my picks we did trade. And I what's funny to me is the guys trying to downplay the draft, when you can see it's how we built those latest championship teams.

Yes we signed Shaq. But he never would have come had we not drafted so well and built the Lake Show.

Also, man PJ made a lot of system players money....

Been watchin' a lot of Tennessee basketball the last few weeks and a player caught my eye. Did a little research on the dude and he looks like the truth--Josh Richardson.

His defense is top notch and he's shooting 40% from three while playing out of position as a 6'6 point guard all year.

If the Lakers nab a center early, I'd love to grab a guy like him with the late pick. He seems to be flying completely under the radar right now.

Remember the name ... Josh Richardson. He's got a little Eddie Jones and Thabo Sefolosha in his game.
