Re: Official Tank Wars Thread (Race for Top 5 Pick)
I agree, I don't think we'll catch either one so I see us ending up in the 3rd slot. Just hope that translates into us keeping the pick, damn 6th pick would truly suck!
2014: Randle / Clarkson
2015: Russell / Nance
2016: Ingram / Zubac
2017: Top 3 Pick? Fultz, Ball or Bust

Re: Official Tank Wars Thread (Race for Top 5 Pick)
For the two remaining Sixer games, can we just suit up the D-Fenders ... or better yet, the Sparks?
Those two games have remarkable significance. I'll be watching it like the Lakers are in the Finals, but I bet 3 stacks on the other team.
If you see a man run out to midcourt and "Tonya Harding-club" our top two scorers ... it's me.

the Sixers consist of a Dleague squad already so you gota get something even worse, wouldn't shock me if Sparks beat this current Sixer squad.

Even without Carter-Williams, they play with more fire than the Lakers.
I just hope they sustain it.
I'm afraid, like another poster said in another thread, that when they play the Lakers the directive will be very, very clear--they have, statistically, much more to gain from a loss than even the Lakers.
That game should be part of the WWE as far as I'm concerned, and the saddest part is that I hope Ronnie Price starts at center and Nick Young plays 48 minutes as our primary facilitator.

Should have Hulkster come out of the stands and hit whoever has the ball in their hands with a chair if we're down a point

Wolves just 1 game back, if they ride the KG emotions and Rubio's return they could win 4 or 5 before the season ends.

Best news was them keeping Kevin Martin. Dude has been killing when healthy this season.

Yeah i think Wolves are going to race past us, but Philly... should be renamed prospectors... they literally only value potential...

Wolves have a decent squad. With Wiggins starting to impact games and Rubio back, they should win a few games.

Wolves are 5-6 with Rubio (5-5 if you don't count the game he got injured). You will finish top3 easily.

what do you think will happen to Rubio if Lavine starts showing more promise next season?

Lavine is a SG. He never played PG in college. Saunders is the only one who thinks he can play PG (a Westbrook style of PG).
Yesterday's game was a typical Wolves game. Rubio who had a mediocre game was +14 (37+ mins), Lavine was -12 (in less than 11mins). Wolves won by 2.
Lavine is super athletic but he doesn't have a clue how to run an offense. Flip will eventually understand his mistake and play him at his natural position, i hope.

Re: Official Tank Wars Thread (Race for Top 5 Pick)
This is why the SG position is seemingly so thin. So many good prospects want to be PGs/get put there by their coaches.
If shooting guard has such little respect and value then why is it even a position in the game? IMO, the fact is on a marathon 82 game schedule, teams need a guy who has to be willing to shoot high volume from the perimeter.
It doesn't have to be the focal point, and it might not always be winning. But it is realistic of a long 30 team season.

76ers and Knicks need to play each other twice more. That's the only games either might win. I quite literally know no more than 4 guys on Philly's roster right now.

Top 2 is over. It's about "passing" Minny.
As things stand now, I'd say we're pretty comfortably in bottom 4 range.

I still can't believe Knicks are that horrible. If they weren't tanking we'd be a lock for the number 1 pick...
