This was a winnable game just as the last one was, but the game was lost tonight on Scott's sub patterns. It's a tactic I've been watching from him the last couple of games. Of course he was gonna bring Kobe back, but he took out ED who was actually more active than Hill was this game.

why are you even on this board if you've already given up? some of us are more competitive and have a love for the game. by your logic, everyone dies anyway, why try in life? why not just commit suicide?

I see people blaming the roster and such when the real weak link is Byron Scott.

This roster is good enough to be at least a .500 team.

Your team needs a real coach that knows what he's doing.

Scott has some of the worst rotations I've ever seen. Every game I see him leave the bench in too long and bringing in the starters late after momentum has already shifted in the favor of the opponent.

Tonight...LOL @ the best rim protector Davis not even in the game and Swaggy guarding Thaddeus on a critical play.

Not to mention playing your starting PG and best playmaker that had 18 points 11 assists 4 steals up to that point less than 3 minutes in the 4th quarter stagnating the offense.

Thanks for the heads up. Didn't watched the game but it seems incredibly strange for the Lakers to lose this one, based on the general responses from the media they seem to agree that it was on Scott. It must be really frustrating to be a Laker fan but I'm happy with Lin's performance based on the highlights.
* Since 1985, Jeremy Lin became one of 15 players to have scored at least 20 points, seven assists and a steal for six games in a row, including 136 points in 5 starts beating out Iverson, Jordan and O'Neal :D

Agree with most of what you said as far as subbing and rotations. And honestly we are better than a 3-13 team. 10 of our 16 games have been at home. If we were just 7-3 at home we'd be at least 9-7 overall....which considering the roster would be a good season so far.

Yeah I was upset at that lineup he had defending on that critical play. No way Nick should be checking Thad on that last play, if Ed is in there Thad probably doesn't even get a look at the basket.

A long 3 pointer with a defender in his face again? There was no chance we were going to win this game with that shot.

And B. Scott better not say that was designed play for Kobe.

If scott could design a play he would have had lin to kobe in blinding vs Denver to wes for a lob over wes being the inbounded and frantically throwing to young 30 feet out

If he could design a play Kyrie wouldn't have put him in blast and said what Princeton offense, all I remember is the isolations

Nailed it ROballer. This team simply put isnt good and it wouldn't be good longterm for this rebuild to not keep our pick in this draft where we can land our next franchise player to put alongside Randle.

This is the first game I've missed this season (it's on my DVR will watch when I work out). Looked like Kobe got one of those quad games that the sports world use to geek out about 7 years ago w/ 5 steals (Bill Simmons defined a quad as at least 5 in 4 categories).

Why did Kobe take a 3 when we were only down 1?
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

It wasn't a contested 3, it was a wide open look for Kobe and he just missed it.

That's rough, James. But true. These aren't the storied Lakers, as a team they don't do the uniform any justice. You can lose, but don't give games away. Make the opponents earn the W.

Whether you like Scott or not, this roster is nothing close to a .500 team in the West.

I know it sucks to be a rebuilding bottom team, but if you are really thinking that the Lakers have the talent to be anything but a bottom dwelling lottery team this year, you are in for a lot of disappointment.

It was a fun game though and the Laker's announcing crew is usually pretty solid (especially compared to some other local crews around the league).

Good luck to you this season.
