Trade a Lin thread | Sponsored by RealGM trade machine

Post#1 » by Slava » Sun Jan 25, 2015 5:28 am

From the residential Lin experts:

ChokeFasncists wrote: It's about a classic photo and basketball; a man, being the only one who can single-handedly win games and disturb the tank.

Seeing as how Sir. Jeremy Lin (OBE) in all his glory might single-handedly win us games and put as at the precipice of contention, which we thoroughly and undoubtedly do not deserve, I think it might be best to save our tank and pave way for this magnificent specimen to single-handedly win games elsewhere for a franchise more worthy of his true greatness.

All glory to him.

Here are my suggestions:

Portland Gets: Sir. Jeremy Lin (OBE)
Lakers Get: Damian Lillard, Wesley Matthews

We trade our Lin and get a measly PG who can score some points in the 4th (not as well as Sir. Jeremy Lin (OBE) I might include) and another journeyman shooting guard who can help us establish the tank further.

Successful trade Mofos

Atlanta Gets: Sir. Jeremy Lin (OBE)
Lakers Get: Jeff Teague, Dennis Schroeder

Once again from the residential Lin experts:

bws94 wrote:Where was Schroeder's Linsanity? Do you guys know what Linsanity really was?

Need I say more?

Once again success is mine

Phoenix Gets: Sir. Jeremy Lin (OBE), General Ed Davis
Lakers Get: Goran Dragic

What the residential Lin experts say:

bws94 wrote:As for Dragic being head and shoulders about the other PGs, I think Dragic had a fine game as a 2 guard. Lin's role was different, he was the PG and had different types of players and speed to play in and he played an excellent game as a PG more than as a scorer

Yes, the Slovenian simpleton is no match for Lin.

Now you might say this is just unfair and I cannot disagree, not only are we trading away Sir. Jeremy Lin (OBE), we are also sending his loyal and chief in command, General Davis. Excuse us, we are simple minded folk who cannot compound the mystery of pick and roll TEAM BASKETBALLLL that the great Lin preaches. Our coach is stupid, our organization imbecile so we shall settle for a Slovenian mule as we go back to riding our square tired motors and worshiping dirt.

Once again, Success is mine

All glory to Lin.

Go ahead, do your worst.

Lakers trade Jeremy Lin, Jordan Hill, and Steve Nash to the New York Knicks for Carmelo Anthony and Jason Smith.

Teams across the NBA destroy all of their scouting reports on Jeremy Lin and the League gets to experience Linsanity 2.0. The Knicks get rid of a Square so they can run the obtuse Triangle with Lin and Hill. Also, Fisher is a really friendly basketball coach, which will help Lin reach his untapped potential.

Lakers trade Jeremiah "HOF" Lin to the Cavs so they can finally get their win now pg, and move Irving to his natural bench position.

Lakers receive a bunch of young talent for the rebuild, and don't squander Lin's prime playing for an incompetent org.

Jokes aside, B-Scott should really showcase Lin just for the sake of raising his trade value.

If we can get a middle-late first rounder for his services, that'd just be gravy on top of our incoming pick.

We're a lock for bottom 5 thanks to Detroit, so playing Lin shouldn't derail this tank much. The real tank killer is Nick Young, who won us a few meaningless games last year that helped in landing us outside the top 5. We should probably look to deal him too.

How about this one:

Jeremy Lin

For

ROballer's increased presence in our dynasty thread.

That brings me more joy than watching him single-handedily defeat the mammoths of the NBA all while hurting our tank chances due to his supreme talent and other-worldly PG skills.

First team to convince RO to post more can have him for $free.99.

This IS a garbage thread and I thought RGM was better than this. Fact is...Lin is a Laker and should be treated as such. You want to say he sucks, should be traded, etc, etc...go ahead...but this is just some schoolyard bull. For all the "subtle warnings" the mods like to hand out to people who complain about the Lakers, this is irony at its finest.

Brandon Jennings Out 6-9 Months With Full Achilles Tear
JAN 25, 2015 3:54 PM

Brandon Jennings will miss the rest of the season and is expected to be out six to nine months with a full tear of his left Achilles.

An MRI confirmed the injury on Sunday.

More practically, it takes seven to 12 months for a full recovery from the injury.

Jennings is coming off the best month of his professional career, leading the Detroit Pistons back to the playoff race after a 5-23 start.

I was thinking Detroit might be a good trading partner too. Especially if we don't want them to outflank the tank.

I think so too. I'd add Charlotte as well.

Lakers IN: Dwight Howard, James Harden, Anthony Davis, Stephen Curry
Lakers OUT: Jeremy Lin, Nick Young, Carlos Boozer, Trashbe Bryant, Steve Trash, Jordan Clarkson

Houston IN: Trashbe Bryant, Steve Trash
Houston OUT: James Harden, Dwight Howard

Golden State IN: Jeremy Lin, Carlos Boozer
Golden State OUT: Stephen Curry

New Orleans IN: Nick Young, Jordan Clarskon
New Orleans OUT: Anthony Davis

i think this trade works out for all teams involved, Houston finally gets some players that aren't ugly/have 100 children and are also get some expiring contracts in return. They can also teach the young and inexperienced Rockets what happens to them if they get injured. So they'll be even better at not getting hurt or something.

Golden State gets back their coveted young PG that they let go for no reason in Jeremy Lin, a return to the bay is in order for him and he'd instantly become the Bay Area's hottest athlete. Carlos Boozer is also sort of an NBA calibre basketball player sometimes.

New Orleans: Anthony Davis is literally the ugliest player in the NBA and completely unmarketable, meanwhile u get the player that leads the league in swag per minute, thus instantly propelling your team into swag contendership.

Lakers add some good players that might become something in the future.

All of this possible because of Jeremy Lins extremely flexible contract and trashcan play

Disappointing. I expected more from these mods. I just don't agree with a mod starting a thread like this. Not cool.

It's not the trade thing I object to, it's how my quotes were used.

Clutch was the most unprofessional, bleep-stirring, clown of a mod on Clutchfans. Up to now, you guys may have gotten frustrated by extreme fans, which I'm not one of, but I thought you acted professionally and responsibly. So to use my comments like this are very much not appreciated and I find it offensive and unprofessional.
