It's good to see us draft a proper shooter, and one with physical tools. He's a great pick and seems like a good guy to have on your team.

Really falling in love with this pick, 3&D pick. we need shooting and he gives us that, as it stands now he very well could be our starter also. Well, he would be better than Wes Johnson i think

Lakers had alot of time to scout him.

6-7 is a good size for a three point shooter. Danny Green , Thompson type?

I never got to see this guy play. I just watched DX's scouting report of him. He looks like he could be a solid roleplayer in the league. But the guy I wanted them to pick with this pick is Hernangomez. I also saw him only in scouting report video but it seems like he could be very good center. His post game is really good for guy his age.

Like this pick since he projects to be a 3D specialist in the league. Someone just needs to light a fire under him, so he could be more aggressive. Hopefully he just continues to work on the NBA 3 point line, perfects that 2 dribble 3 pt pull-up, and just becomes a good defender.

As for Brown, Kupchak offered this assessment:

"Obviously, being in the Pac-12, we got a chance to see him a lot. He’s locally from California, Southern California. We consider him one of the better shooters in the draft. We think he can play multiple positions -- shooting guard, small forward, be versatile enough to bring the ball up the floor under some pressure. We think he’ll get better at that. A good athlete with a great pedigree. I spoke to his college coach a couple days ago, Johnny Dawkins. ... He was very high on him from a character point of view and a basketball point of view."

Brown, a graduate of Ocean View High in Huntington Beach, averaged 14.6 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists as a senior at Stanford. He shot 44.1 percent from 3-point range last season.

“It’s a surreal feeling,” Brown said after being drafted. “Especially being from the area, growing up watching the Lakers (and) one of the greatest players of all time, Kobe (Bryant). It’s definitely a surreal feeling, and I’m excited to get to work.”

Of both players, Kupchak said, "A lot remains to be seen. Guys who get drafted late in the first round, early in the second-round -- they have to prove their mettle in this business and who that they belong. One of them is going to have some guaranteed money, the other one may not. In any event, they’re both going to have to prove their way through summer program and training camp and we think they’re both worthy of their selections and we think they both have bright futures."

True and I like both of them, both are two prong attack players....can drive and shoot from deep distance. It is possible both make the team.

Yeah this is our area of major emphasis. Currently we look like this...

C : Sacre, Upshaw, Hill ( by 29th his option will be dropped)

PF: Randle, Black , Nance,

I love our 4 depth, it's young and provides different play styles from all three. Julius is the most versatile, Tarik provides bulk/rugged play and Larry is an athletic energy guy. We've never had this from our 4 before.

Center is our weakest spot and all of us here know it , but I think we'll get something done. Also people shouldn't be so quick to think Hill is completely gone, last summer we gave him the deal we did a more of a favor more than anything and because quite frankly we had the extra money to pay him like that.

Hill has said he want's to stay, it's just now he has to agree to our terms. If he stays and we minimize his role then he's a great pick up.

Watched this guy quite a bit last season and he was always in the mix. Right now, he is just an offensive threat. Outside of rebounding he doesn't bring much on the defensive end. He has a long body and decent enough athleticism that he could potentially be a '3 and d' guy, but right now he isn't there or close if we're being honest. He's a Jared Dudley type to me.

I would say Nance is a better defender than AB right now, but at 6'7" and with the wing span he has he could become equal to Kawhi Leonard down the line. His shot is way better than Leonard's was in college, Leonard worked on his offense a ton. AB just has to dedicate his time to defense, he has the tools physically. Defense is always about effort, it's just a matter of wanting to play it.

Did this kid really measure at 6' 8.5 in shoes at the combine?If he can bulk up to 220, he'll be a perfect 3 with that jump shot.

Being soft or passive is said to be a weakness of his though that doesn't mean he can't carve out a good career.

Happen to remember if his instincts were any good defensively? Any potential to be a catch and 2 or 3 dribble guy?

Not that he isn't ultimately forgettable, but you forgot Kelly.
