Apparently they blew a bunch of money on this guy named Suh who has become Warren Buffetts latest public perception act. Suh has been good, but the way they built that team was star driven, and whoever Cameron Wake and Brent Grimes are, well they failed to live up to expectations and the team is blowing up due to lack of depth. The first thing this reminded me of was the Spurs off season...

More like Miami Heat right? The Spurs are not a get rich quick scheme like those franchises. They already have a culture in place where they are adding some quality and the depth is very much there with some blue collar guys like Danny Green, Leonard and Mills.

That scenario actually reminds me more of the Clippers off season actually... They got more talent, but at the expense of cohesiveness and depth... When they were just a better game-plan and execution away from the WCF IMO...
Flashy, desperate moves from Doc, that I'm not convinced will result in greater success.

Of course, any team that can produce something by plugging imported nothing into a system will not lose sleep over depth. In fact, the Spurs actually added depth in David West. Idk though, because it seems like the Spurs said they were going to develop one cannon, then went out and bought the cannon. No one will question the purchase, but it does say something about their confidence in building around Leonard on offense despite their repeated attempts at turning him into Kobe.

I don't think it has much to do with Leonard, the Spurs still stay within the confines of the luxury tax and added another all star, its a win-win situation for them. The West is an arms race, the more talent you add the higher the odds of your success. Even a constantly successful franchise like the Spurs can be pushed down to the 8th seed if they stand pat like they experienced after their title in 2007.

Re-using these memes is getting way too easy.

Oh man. Rose can't catch a break. Oh wait.

But seriously though. I feel bad for Rose.

Adam Morrison's game stunk, literally...

“Adam Morrison,” Dudley called out, naming a teammate from the 2008-09 Charlotte Bobcats. “Remember Adam Morrison? He never took showers, he did the chewing tobacco that he spit all the time, and he wore the same three polos the whole year. This is a guy who made a lot of money, too, at that time. He was the face of diabetes, he was doing everything, he was on the cover of college games, he was [everywhere], and he was by far the worst and [most] disgusting.”

“He was playing when I was there, that’s the thing, he was playing,” Dudley said. “He then tore his ACL, that’s when he didn’t play, but he was playing when I was there. He was playing like 30 minutes a game. Gerald Wallace had to force him to take a shower one time. Had to force him. Imagine that. Imagine forcing a grown man to take a shower. He should be ashamed of himself.”

Yeah I noticed that recently. These players need to get some hobbies. In Dudley's case, he can probably use his material in rap.

Bucks are locking up some really mediocre players to a lot of money. Monroe, Henson, Mayo, Middleton etc.

I'm not sure Slav. Bucks are giving me the '04 Pistons vibe. I'm not counting them out.

It's too early to tell. At this point we just have to think about our current players and develop them if we want to give Durant a reason to leave.

Add Prokhorov to the list of owners that can make his players look stupid.

The man's main talent is to make something out of nothing, hence his whole Screaming A schtick. I certainly wouldn't put ANY stock into it at this point.

Just to pass on more information about this, John Ireland(voice of the lakers) on the radio said he had heard the same thing a while ago and that Stephen A Smith was not lying. John was very calculated in what he said as though he had more information that he couldnt give out because it wasnt out there yet. He pretty much only admitted the Kevin Durant Story because SAS put it out there. Take it for what its worth. You can download the podcast for 710am Mason and Ireland show. I think it was last Friday. This doesnt make it the truth but John said he knows where SAS is getting his info from.

I guess that Paul George experiment at power forward isn't a complete fail.

PG made Anthony Davis (the best big man in the game) look like Robert Sacre last night lol

I think the concern is not just effectiveness but longevity. A SF banging around with PF's can take a toll on a person's body. It's a long season, especially if a team plans to be in the post season.
