I still refuse this weird general consensus that the Lakers have failed in free agency the past couple of years. Max was on sportsnation talking about how "The lakers can't even get people to take money" and how "Greg Monroe chose the bucks over them" etc etc, but if i remember correctly we didn't offer Monroe the max. We didn't really pursue him at all...and I don't know about you guys but I think that was a great decision. I really don't see how our record would be better with Monroe instead of Hibbert. I understand capspace isn't what it used to be....but man I rather have capspace than Greg Monroe, especially given our teams roster. That said, I thought he would be a positive for the Bucks....He isn't a rim protector, but i thought in a good defensive system he wouldn't be a major negative. Either I was clearly wrong or the Bucks don't have as good of a defensive system than I thought they did. Giannis and Parker have potential to be the best 2/3 in the nba....it's a shame that they crippled the future with Monroe and also traded for MCW. They were better off giving Knight Monroe's money, and letting the team grow.
