I think the max for a second rounder (Arenas provision) is like 6 the first 2 years, then it moves up to something 22 the next 2 years.

I was under the impression that was what another team could offer him. We can structure the deal however we like.

The Arenas Rule only comes into effect if he signed an offer sheet with another team. We used our cap space to sign him. His starting salary will depend on how the contract is structured, but it should be in the $11-12M range. This is not an early-bird contract so I don't think we can sign other guys while sitting on his cap hold and then him last if that's what some of you guys are thinking

But if his potential max was 58, is it still that Great since he is nowhere near a max player ?
