Good thing about Dlo stepping up is that it takes the pressure off Ingram. Compared to last year when everyone was making a big deal of Russell's summer league struggle, Ingram's is relatively unnoticed.

I love Russell's aggressive scoring mindset in this game. That's exactly what he needs to do to lead this team. It takes pressure off of every other player, they can play free. He's a leader on the floor, indeed. Ten games into the season, he's gonna have to pick Kobe's brain on double teams.
NBA titles since the merger: LAL 11, CHI 6, SAS 5, BOS 5, GSW 4.

Just a heads up that the final tournament bracket will be finalized after today's games. Should know the 2 possible teams we could face for Thursday's game.

I think it's great too that Russell was able to take the game into his hands and to create separation in the Warriors game. Its nice to see Russell stepping up and taking shots that few players would be willing to take.

But overall, I still think the Lakers have a long way to go with the offense.

Crisp, fast cuts, confident movement on the floor didn't seem visible relative to the GSW starter team in the regular seasons (the comparison may be a bit unfair, but I would like the Lakers to grow in a similar offense). In the last game with the Warriors summer league, it was a bit disappointing to see the offense set, only to have the players at times go through the first few options and then stop cold in their tracks. It resulted in isolation plays. I'm sure they didn't have time to go deep into the playbook yet, but its a bit disconcerting to see that a pass couldn't be made with those initial options.

I liked how in game 2, Russell was able to get consecutive, high double screens so that he could pick and pop. Think this would provide film material for teams in the regular seasons to look at and to address. However, I still think the Lakers team can better improve upon moving the ball even more (Russell needs to relinquish control a bit), and creating better screens and spacing so that it gets the defense moving, resulting in better looks and scoring opportunities for the young Lakers.

We play the winner of Cavs vs Celtics (game tomorrow). Hopefully Celtics win so we can beat them down.

Yup. Full bracket here: http://www.canishoopus.com/2016/7/13/12169278/las-vegas-summer-league-tournament-schedule-minnesota-timberwolves

The Celtics have more talent on paper and I'm expecting them to win. Very interesting matchups across the board for us if we do face them
