Russell's shot looks so much cleaner than last year. Rotation and arc are on point. All that work in the summer is really paying off.

Keeping the defender on his hip as well - Nash did this all the time

Yeah, that's basically what I'm talking about. Those are the two main guys he needs to study. Marginal athletes who still dominated.

It's summer league, I know.....but he's doing whatever he wants. It's nice to see.

This seems like the least talented team we've played by a good margin. He is recognizing his mismatch and he's making shots. Not sure he gets these looks in a real game but he's doing what he's supposed to here.

D'Angelo's killing out there. I'd like to see him try to set up Ingram in the second half to get him going. Too much one-on-one for him so far.

Oh they're playing against summer league level talent? Thanks for the reminder, don't think anyone else could've figured that out

Yeah...typically the "good teams" have bad summer/preseason squads compared to the lower teams with better drafts and all that. But all that aside, it's good to see him carving it up. I agree that he prob wont do that during the regular season...but he looks damn good here.

Steps...

Did this offend you or something? Why not respond to the post I did with that comment? It was about the "summer league" as well.

Russell's screen navigation on defense needs a ton of work.

Zubac is showing a pretty complete game. Albeit in 3 games. The face up game wasn't in his scouting report.
