Last 5:22 of the game the Lakers led 111-105, and get outscored 12-2 because they went 1-7 from the field and had 2 turnovers. But that wasn't the main reason they blew this game. Their patented third quarter stinkbomb is what did these fools in.

This is why young teams don't win in the NBA. It's hard to stay focused for 48 minutes, but that's what it takes at this level. They'll learn.

We need a defense and rebounding animal right now.

The nice record was cool while it lasted, but it's time to see the young guys start to play 30 minutes a game and finish games, win or lose. Development over wins was supposed to be our mantra.

I keep hearing this and yet, Russell is not physically capable of playing those minutes, Ingram basically does play those minutes, Clarkson does not need more ball hoggin minutes period, and Randle always looks gassed when he plays those minutes. Larry is hurt and been on minutes restrictions since day 1 due to his knees... so what are you hoping to see?

honestly, there were a couple games back then where i thought luke went for the W instead of developing our your core.

he kind of did it again tonight when he went for young instead rusell who was having a pretty good game.

i think the problem with russell tho is he takes a long a$$ time to initiate the offense whenever hes the one playing the pointguard position...i think this is the reason why luke started giving ingram some 1 minutes as well.

but then again, everything right now is part of the "process", trial and error stage right now for the lakers.

Ingram has only started at the point when Russell and Calderon have been out. Besides the idea of having him play at the point started in preseason.

Frustrating loss.

21 assists at halftime. 8 in the second half.

An awful stretch by Randle towards the end of the first half where he went one-on-one three possessions in a row. Finally Luke went back to the bench (Nance) and Young hit a couple threes to get it to 14.

More awful play from Randle, as when the shot goes up from Kemba Walker, he just stands around and doesn't do a single thing. Kemba Walker chases it, gets an offensive rebound and they get the winning bucket.

If Larry is out for a significant amount of time, Randle's got to bring it every play. If not, just go with Deng/Robinson/Ingram and rotate them through the 3/4 spots so you can bench Randle.

We should have been up 20+ points at halftime. We scored 73 points. We hit 12 three pointers. If a game is under 20 after all that, you're destined to lose.

Ugh.

That being said I thought that last ball should have been an ice in the veins opportunity for the legend of Dlo all the way and to have Nick huck it immediately (wth) was terrible.

I'm already jealous of whichever team gets Markelle Fultz. The guy is utterly ridiculous.

If we tank again this year we will teach the youngins to be perennial losers.... we would have to tank Byron-hard and that means we don't even get to develop good habits for 6 crucial 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year players. No, we need to suck it up and play to learn how to win and have a late season run that shows they are learning to win. There is already too much talent to tank it up... 2 guards, 2PFs, a SF, and a C... those guys are motivated to risk having someone replace them... why? Luke is motivated to tank in his first year as a head coach after coming strong out of the gates?

no tank... no tank :nonono: :meditate:
