I Talked to Devin Ebanks Yesterday

Post#1 » by Tiesto_Lakers » Mon Mar 27, 2017 4:25 pm

My cousin is working in Dubai as a teacher and her good friend is dating Ebanks. My cousin knows how big of a Laker fan I am and she called me and put Devin on. He said he just moved to Dubai to play ball, I told him I didn't even know they played basketball out there.

Dude fell off the face of the earth after that season with Mike Brown/D'Antoni.

Name from the past. I just read about the fairly active basketball happenings on the Arabian Peninsula. It's not like Europe but from what I read it pays decent and gives a lot of guys like him the opportunity to keep playing rather than joining real life. Cool story, thanks for sharing

I bet he's still cashing off from being a Lakers draft pick.

He told me why he "thought" he was released from the Lakers, I'd rather not spread rumours but it had something to do with "cough" partying. But us fans could clearly see he wasn't talented enough or didn't improve to stay in the league; either way, we'll never know for sure.

It was the partying, no doubt. Once he got a DUI, the team pretty much threw him away. I thought he could've been a player in the league. Some guys just can't handle LA.
