Diop just got a the full MLE, for ~33 million or so. For those wanting Bynum for 50 million, Bynum is worth only 15 more? Sadly, not in the NBA. He's worth much more. Diop was a thrown-in in the Kidd trade. His career HIGH in points average is freaking 3. Bynum will be amazing in 3 years and this deal will look small then.

Paul got the max allowable and Bynum, a big man, is worth the same in this NBA. He's young and doesn't know it. His agent and the agents 3% commission knows it.

Bynum put up 13 and 10 in his 2 and a half months this season.... He is just as proven as Kobe after 12 years ... you guys shouldnt be so hard on him. Bynum is worth 400 million.

His agent is a grade A ass. He's trying to make Drew look like a total idiot.

Nope not buying any of that crap.

Bynum is his own man and he's got a good soul within him. He's not some dirty ass person like his agent.

But if it comes down to it, I'll give him the season to prove it and then we will max him...

If he can give us 18 pts, 12 rebs with 3-4 blks he's got a max on my book. Considering those were his numbers for January, I wouldn't be surprised if he averages more.

The Lakers will either come to a reasonable deal during the season (and by reasonable nowhere near 80 mill) or just make him a restricted free agent and see what the market says hes worth. Either way, I don't think he's going anywhere.

No one deserves 5/80 with those kinds of stats. now if he could get 20/10 then maybe. He has heard all the talk about how different it would have been with him,and now he and his agent are feeling themsleves. I mean the guy hasn't even been an allstar yet,and we made the finals without him.

I wouldn't blame Drew to much. This sounds like 1 of those money grubbing agents @ work if you ask me

This thread reminds me of a scene in Good Will Hunting.

That's a lot of money Bynum's camp is asking for; hopefully his production can match his value.

I'd give him that just for his ridiculous improvement in rebounding this year. And he knows he is the shi*, he aint no mental pussy and you saw that when he countered shaq and gets pumped up on the court every time he makes great moves. He is smart and learning from kareem. We need to see him play first next season, if he doesn't get injured again then give him the max.

It sounds like Bogut is going to get 6 years/80.

5 yrs, 60 mil for bogut. it can go up to as much as 72 based on team and individual incentives.

he's going to be making a flat 12 mil per yr guaranteed for the duration of the contract.

last yr al jefferson signed a 5 yr 65 mil deal.
yr before that kaman signed a 5 yr, 52.5 mil deal.

going to be interesting when okafor and biedrins finally get their deals.

I think he would probably live up to that contract, but its to soon to throw that money at him, its too much of a risk right now

Well, looks like we'll pay up considering the market. Now it's just if the knee is all good.
