Only an exhibition, but I'm still not impressed with our defense.

Also, Boozer is freaking miserable. How did this guy make the team?

Wow, Wade is one of the best finishers around the rim I've seen in awhile, i forgot he could do that. The second half is starting again on ESPN2

Halfcourt offense was disappointing again. This team is all about scoring in transition.

Lebron was terrific, Wade was again relentless in attacking the basket, Howard had some monster dunks, Bosh was decent too in limited minutes.

And Kobe pretty much continued his role as defender and playmaker, very unselfish. He had 7 assists, highest on the team, and some passes were spectacular. He seems very controlled and smooth out there. Anybody else see him replacing Kidd as the point guard?

Note: Boxscores are wrong; Kobe did not shoot 1-5; he made two baskets, Team USA's 43rd point (layup) and 68th point (reverse dunk).

i'm guessing turkey isn't a great team, but the half court offense has to be a point of concern right?
or do you guys think it will improve once the olympics begin, or will it be something team USA will have to overcome?

Eh, I don't think its that bad.

One, I wouldn't doubt that they are still adjusting to the long trip and timezone. 2 its still warming up so I think they are experimenting and tweaking a little. 3, how efficient do you want them to be? They had 95 points in 33 mins of play. And the D, they held them to what, 7 or 8 points in the 2nd quarter when it was fairly close and they tried hard? A lot of the stuff Turkey was getting was garbage they were throwing in when we were gambling and messing around.

Its not perfect yet, but I'm not too worried. Even if the O starts to break down Kobe and Bron can make things happen and neither has really had or tried to take over the game. They both looked excellent to me and I also thought Deron and CP looked good as well. I could easily see us going CP, Deron, Kobe, Bron, Howard if things got a little bogged down.

Mello and Wade are being chuckers so far as well, both are shooting it nearly every time they touch it.

The one thing that does concern me though is the defense. We are gambling and scrambling way too much. I realize with our depth it will wear them out eventually, but with the shooters that spain and greece have it could be dangerous. I don't like coach K, he's a lot like Phil, too much trapping and hard close outs etc. I'd rather see them play straight up tough, pistons/spurs type D.
