You know, at first I was going to come in here and say hell no. The guy is unpredictable, a headcase, and frankly, he's never been on a winner before. It's wouldn't be like making a move for sam cassell, who had championship experience. Marbury put up stats on crap teams. Plus his forte is creating. For a pg, we need shooting...catch and shooting, spot up, things like that.

I don't diminish the guys talent...he's very talented. But it wouldn't make sense.

BUT....Phil is very good with headcases. He gets guys to play at there best. Maybe...MAYBE, it wouldn't be bad.

I honestly don't think we need him, though. We aren't desperate enough to go get a talented player strictly based off his talent, and not considering other things (like locker room presence, etc.). I don't think it's worth it.

This is a wet dream and pipe dream.....................cause it's no way in hell I want "Starbury" on my squad.............HELL NO. Steph is nothing more then a New York play ground legend who made the league.

All I have to say is watch this

Then tell me how badly you want Starbury! I'm sorry he could not even learn our offense let alone help us win a trophy! He might have some game left but not the kind of game we need IMHO. :o

That is an all-time clip. He was either high as a kite or he is just a weird, weird dude.

^At everyone against Steph for the minimum.

We don't need him to be a star... only a 6th man / 3rd scorer kinda guy (a PG version of LO).

He'll have to make sacrifices, and I'm sure he's capable of being effective on the Lakers.

Remember, he's a luxury we could use and afford... especially so since Lamar Odom is in a contract season.

Btw, Donnie wants to fk Steph out of Stephon's money. LOL. (trying to get a discount for a buyout lmao)

Bad move.

I respect Donnie as an exec.

He's shown me he's going to try to steer the NY ship better. (something I expect from him)

Well you know, I'm glad we aint got no drama out in Cali, cuz if I was in NY...

nvm, I'm babbling again. :P

]No disrespect Verbal but he could not operate in the offense he would constantly break away from it and do his own thing which would cause more problems than his offense would be worth. And his defense is nearly non existant.

Ummm,

1) Defense? - He just gotta stay in front of his guy.
2) Offense? - Just play it cool and make the set plays... if the clock hits 8, he can go do his own thing... if Kobe isn't on the floor.
3) Role? - He would have to be a pass first PG, or a Toni Kukoc-ish scoring threat coming off the bench.
4) Overall Role? - 17-22 mins a night. He can save his legs for the playoffs & help Farmar with his offense.
5) Leadership? - He's a veteran. If you can look past his "thug image" or "juvenile nature", you'll see he's quite skilled.

Verdict: He can help us. We could use him.

-It's a no-brainer if the price is right; a minimum contract or bi-annual or half of the MLE.
-Why not? We can lace the contract with incentives if you want guarantees, hahaha.
-He would be a nice luxury to have.
-The owners can surely afford it.

Btw, don't worry; just keep it real with me and we'll get along just fine. :D

Thanks for the concern.

I guess I will just have to agree to disagree on this one.

I don't post often but have been around for long time I know you are big boy with good opinions and posts and we have got along in the past just fine so I am not concerned about us getting along at all........lol

I watched his interview on NBC today and sorry to say that he's still as deranged and mentally unfit as he was an year ago. He needs to lay off whatever he's been doing or else this could even be the results of longterm damage.

Nice find, dude.

I'm on his side.

He deserves a second chance in NY or a chance anywhere else.

1) He's around 8% body fat
2) He says he's ready for what may come
3) He's still a starting caliber player
4) He's still got all-star talent

I'm for it too. I dont' have enough confidence in Farmar's abilities. One thing you can count on with Steph is that he's tough. Something we could definitely use. We don't really have an edgy player on this team that brings that "street toughness" to the court. This is something which he can provide very well.

Really? "They're like Show-me-state? Missouri?" WTF was that? He cannot even construct a few meaningful sentences and you expect him to run PG for a contender team?

The triangle offense requires the PG to have a fully functioning brain and a razor sharp mindset.
