Honestly, what do you guys think of him?

Is he able to play at an acceptable NBA-level or will he be waived soon?

What do you think his ceiling will be?

He's not getting waived... guaranteed contract.

So far:

goods- he's committed to D, fairly athletic, he's working on his shot, he's a legit 6'9" guard

bads- Lost in the offense, needs strength training, will only shoot if he knows he's got to, very raw.

overall- I'd completely chill on any expectations until we can get this year under his belt and learn the offense. I'd do my best to get him a few spot minutes here and there (and not in garbage time) and see what develops.

We haven't seen much of him so it's hard to say. But now that we have people out.. he will have more minutes to prove he's worthy. Plus the crowd chanting his name isn't helping.. although it's cool to here that the fans want him to show us what he's got.

He might just be good enough that Pau would take back that racial team poster of his hehe jk.

he's only signed for one more yr right? its hard for me to imagine that he'll play to the level that calls for a new contract from the lakers considering the huge financial commitments they'll have at the time.

Sun is in the "phil doesn't play rookies" closet.

Phil plays rookies. Ask Farmar. He just doesn't play incompetent rookies. I'll start paying attention to Sun Yue next year.
